Stampin’ Up! Fine Art Floral Gallery Sneak Peek Fun-Fold with Video Tutorial

Happy 2021!!  I suspect most of us are hoping and praying that this is a better year – on so many levels! – than 2020 was.  I know – and you know – that it’s not going to change for the better overnight.  But…perhaps the light we’re seeing at the end of the tunnel is NOT a train.  Hope springs eternal. 🙂

My first card for the year comes with a video tutorial and, if you were able to join me yesterday on my You Tube channel, I appreciate you spending part of your New Year’s Eve with me!  If not, here’s the replay!  Hint: don’t be confused by the picture – I DID make a different card on the video.  But…it means you get a two-fer today! 🙂

Both of the cards in this post are super easy double-flap fun fold cards – put together the same way.  The first version is the one created with the new Art Gallery bundle and Fine Art Floral DSP (all coming on 5 Jan!) plus a Peaceful Moments sentiment on the inside.  I added a Dog Builder Punch silhouette to transform it into a pet sympathy card.  Take a look-see:

The card base is actually two bases.  For this card, I used Night of Navy cardstock.  The large base is 4 1/4″ x 8 1/2″ – scored and folded at 5 1/2″.  The smaller card is 3″ x 8 1/2″ – scored and folded at 4 1/4″.

I used some gorgeous Fine Art Floral DSP that I matted on Smoky Slate then adhered to the large card front and the smaller panel with Liquid Glue.

I took another design from Fine Art Floral, adhered it to a Smoky Slate mat and then to the front of the smaller card.

On a piece of Whisper White, I stamped the larger flower from the Art Gallery set – using 3 steps – first in So Saffron and then in Terracotta Tile.  The first step is in stamped-off-once ink and then the second and third stamps are full strength.  I cut both flowers with the matching dies in the Floral Gallery Dies – which will be bundled with the Art Gallery set, saving you 10%!

I also stamped the stem and leaves image in Pretty Peacock – and cut it with ITS die!

I made a figure-8 bow from the white Baker’s Twine in the new Snail Mail Twine Combo Pack (avail 5 Jan).  Then I laid the pieces out.

I adhered everything with Liquid Glue, except the bow…..that I added with a Glue Dot.

I cut a Night of Navy silhouette with the Dog Builder Punch.  On another piece of Whisper White, I stamped the Pampered Pets sentiment in Pretty Peacock and cut it with a Tasteful Labels die.

I popped the dog punch and sentiment on with Stampin’ Dimensionals – added a few Night of Navy Holiday Rhinestones and the card front was done.

On a smaller piece of Whisper White, I stamped a Peaceful Moments sentiment in Pretty Peacock.  In the corner, I added the large Art Gallery flower in Terracotta Tile. A single Holiday Rhinestone next to the sentiment finished it off.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Smoky Slate mat and into the small Night of Navy card base.  Then, using Liquid Glue, I adhered the entire small card to the card front.

On the back, I stamped the Art Gallery Flower in Terracotta Tile on a Whisper White panel, matted it on Smoky Slate and adhered it to the back of the card.  This gives plenty of room to write a personal note.  And that was it for the card!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got the Art Gallery flower in Terracotta Tile on the front…

…and more of the Fine Art Floral DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  The Art Gallery Bundle – part of the Fine Art Floral Suite – is surely going to be a heavy favorite in the new Jan – Jun 2021 Mini Catalog!  The Fine Art Floral DSP is absolutely stunning!  I love how I was able to use a couple extra tools to make this into a pet sympathy card!! I hope you like!

Now – here’s the Pampered Pets card – it goes to together the same – it’s just in a “portrait” orientation versus landscape!  The video will show all the pieces and parts and how-to’s!

If you’d like to recreate these cards, all the products and card cuts are listed below!

  1. Such a great design for your cards! Love the colors and mix of designer papers! Ha! Yep, looks like a fun game for Finn for sure. 🙂

It’s one of his faves, for sure! He sometimes does it to folks who….aren’t expecting it! ROFL! Thanks, Amy! 🙂

  2. I loved both cards and the peek-a-boo guy!

    • stampsnlingers

He loves Peek-A-Boo, for sure! Thanks, Karen! 🙂

  3. Stella Boatman

Happy new year to you. I love this fine art floral card with the different fold. Also the cute dog from its punch sneaks onto the card front.

    • stampsnlingers

Thanks, Stella! I like that punch for sympathy cards – not so in-your-face with it. 🙂

  4. Silly Finn!
Love both cards for different reasons. Great video too. Sorry I didn’t join yesterday. I didn’t set my alarm and when I looked at the clock it was 12:39CST, and I was pretty sure I missed it! Dang. Maybe one of these days I will have that time in my head so it will be automatic. Happy New Year. I was up at midnight, but reading and totally unaware of the time. Glad 2020 is behind us. Praying that 2021 will be MUCH better!

LOL! I sometimes forget, too – which is bad since it’s MINE! I get it, Julie – no worries! I’m glad 2020 is behind us, too – not sure how much better 2021 will be or how long it’ll take to GET better, but…hope springs eternal! 🙂 Thanks!
