Stampin’ Up! Happiest of Birthdays for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Hey y’all – it’s Thursday, so it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!!  Today’s a sketch challenge – and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table!  I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

I am always in need of birthday cards these days, so I decided that the sketch really was perfect for the big, bold and beautiful sentiment from the Happiest of Birthdays stamp set.  And – I set atop some Artistry Blooms DSP (which is on sale right NOW – but only thru the end of the month!).  Take a look-see:

And – here’s our sketch!

And – I played along with the Watercooler Wednesday challenge, too! 🙂

I started with some Artistry Blooms paper – isn’t it pretty?!? – that I matted on Mango Melody for the card front!

I picked a different pattern – in blue – and cut a 2″ wide strip, that I banner-ized with the Triple Banner Punch.

I used my Blackberry Bliss Stampin’ Write Marker to add faux stitches and then adhered the banner to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I placed a piece of Whisper White card stock in my Stamparatus and then inked the Happiest of Birthdays sentiment.  I used my Sponge Daubers to add ink right to the stamp – Blackberry Bliss on the top third-ish, Melon Mambo in the middle, and Mango Melody near the bottom!  Then I “huffed” onto the stamp – blew warm air across it to moisten the ink again – and stamped it onto the panel.

I cut the sentiment with a Rectangle Stitched Die.  The die was a little too long for my design – so, I shortened it by placing the die where I wanted the end of the panel – and ran it back thru the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine.

I popped the sentiment on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added some Artistry Blooms Adhesive-Backed Sequins – and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped a second Happiest Blooms sentiment in Blackberry Bliss on a Whisper White panel and added a few more of the sequins.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Mango Melody mat and into my Blackberry Bliss card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got a third Happiest Blooms sentiment in Blackberry Bliss on the front…

…and a little more Artistry Blooms DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I love this gorgeous sentiment – and it’s really pretty with the Sponge Dauber-inking method, don’t you think? Happiest Birthdays is an all-sentiment set and all about birthdays (probably why they named it that!)!

And the Artistry Blooms DSP is full of rich and beautiful color for all your projects! And getting a pack at 15% is a great idea! 😉

I hope you like!
