Stampin’ Up! Country Clubhouse for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Hey y’all – it’s Thursday, so it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!!  Today’s a sketch challenge – and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table!  I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

I decided it was time to go to a new-to-me bundle – the Clubhouse bundle.  Along with some of the coordinating Country Club DSP – take a look-see:

And – as usual we were all working with the same sketch!

I started with three different designs from the Country Club DSP and matted them on Poppy Parade with Liquid Glue.  The gray argyle design became the card front.

I used the other two – smaller – panels to create the angled part of the sketch.  The bottom panel was adhered with Liquid Glue and then I popped the top panel on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

For the art, I used the Golf Club Dies (bundled with the Clubhouse stamp set for a 10% savings!) to cut a Poppy Parade golf tee and two “grasses” from Old Olive card stock.  I also cut a golf ball from Whisper White – on that one, I spritzed the card stock with water before cutting it – that helped to add the little dimples into the ball).

While I had the dies out – I also cut one of the grass shapes from some Old Olive Perennial Essence Vellum

On a piece of Whisper White, I stamped the Clubhouse sentiment in Poppy Parade and cut it with the larger label die.

I adhered the tee to the card front with Liquid Glue.  The grasses are a combination of Glue Dots and Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

For the golf ball – I used a Sponge Dauber with the teensiest bit of Smoky Slate on it to add some shading to the bottom of the ball.  Then I used two Stampin’ Dimensionals in the middle of the ball to adhere it to the card front.

I tied a small-ish bow from Garden Green Twine (in the Country Club Twine Combo Pack) and adhered it with a Glue Dot.  Then I put three double-stacks of Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals on the sentiment banner – and popped it over top.

Three Night of Navy gems from the Holiday Rhinestone Pack finished off the card front.

On the inside, I added a second sentiment from Club House in Poppy Parade to a Whisper White panel.  In Tuxedo Black – and using my Stamparatus – I added the golf-ball-on-a-tee image in the corner.  I shaded the ball with my Light Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blend and used my Poppy Parade and Mossy Meadow Combo Packs on the tee and grass.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Poppy Parade mat and into my Night of Navy card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got the golf-ball-on-a-tee image on the front…

…and more of the Country Club DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  The Country Club suite, with its Clubhouse stamp set and Golf Club Dies,  is perfect for masculine cards – or for anyone who golfs, really!  And the Country Club DSP – well – we ALL love PLAID, don’t we?!? 😉  I hope you like!
