Stampin’ Up! A Snowman Season in Winter Woods for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Hey y’all – it’s Thursday, so it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!!  Today’s a color challenge – and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table!  I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

The color challenge we’ve got is a fun one – really pretty wide open!  It helped me to simplify my design – which was good!  I’m a little behind on Christmas cards (gasp!  I know….you are SHOCKED!).  So… I needed something pretty – and if I could make a stack of them easy peasy – then…even better!  Winter Woods and a sentiment from the Snowman Season…plus my Stamparatus!…was the answer.  Take a look-see:

No – your eyes don’t deceive you.  That’s a no-layer card.  So…not nine Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Nay…not even ONE!

Yes – there’s been a significant disturbance in the Force!

So – here’s our color challenge.

I selected Shaded Spruce for my third color.

The layout was inspired by the sketch challenge over at Hand Stamped Sentiments.

And my Christmas tree was inspired by the Global Design Project theme challenge.

Okay – this is all stamping and all Stamparatus – so…here we go!

I started with some Whisper White Note Cards and Envelopes.

If you’re going to stamp-a-stack of these…here’s a look at how you can set up your Stamparatus.  I put the bare trees on a panel to stamp from the side.  On the other side of that panel is the large single pine tree.  If you look at the panel on the top – I put “Merry Christmas” from the Snowman Season set up there.

Starting with the bare trees in the Winter Woods stamp set, I stamped the note card in Smoky Slate.  I did all my cards with this image.

Then I flipped the panel and stamped the large pine tree in Shaded Spruce on all the note cards.  Finally – I added the Snowman Season sentiment in Shaded Spruce.

I added a Rhinestone Basic Jewel as a tree topper.

On the inside, I again set up my Stamparatus.  I stamped a sentiment from Winter Woods in Shaded Spruce.  Then I came back and added the single pine bough, also from Winter Woods and also in Shaded Spruce.

And…uhm…that’s it!  Easy peasy!

I did add the Winter Woods pine bough in Shaded Spruce on the front of the matching Envelopes.

Et Voila!  This is SO far out of my wheelhouse – no Dimensionals, no Linen Thread bows, hardly any bling at all!  But…I LOVE it!  Winter Woods – with the bare tree line AND the large and lush pine tree – is perfect for this color scheme!  And the big, fun sentiment from Snowman Season was tailor-made!  If you need a stack of Christmas cards…pull these sets (and your STAMPARATUS!!) and get busy.  I hope you like!
