Stampin’ Up! Making Everything Festive and Bright

Happy Monday!  Hope you’re warm where you are and ready for a great week!  You MAY have today off for Veteran’s Day!  Whether you do or don’t – please take a moment to thank a Vet or say a prayer for our Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines sitting in harm’s way today to protect our great Nation!  Past or present, each of them has written a blank check on all our behalf!

My card today is a super simple one – made easy with the wunnermus Stamparatus!  I used the Everything Festive stamp set from the holiday catalog and the Making Christmas Bright set from the annual catalog.  Take a look-see:

This simple layout is from the Freshly Made Sketches challenge!

For the card front, I used the fun wreath image in the Making Christmas Bright stamp set and stamped it all over a Whisper White panel in Pineapple Punch ink.  Then I matted the panel on Real Red.

For the sentiment, I used my Stamparatus and the Marker-to-Rubber technique to stamp the Everything Festive image on a piece of Whisper White.  I colored the “Merry” in Mossy Meadow, “&” in Night of Navy, and “Bright” in Real Red.  Then I stamped all the stars in Pineapple Punch.

I cut the sentiment with the largest Stitched Shapes square die – and also cut out a piece of the Christmas-light-strewn paper from the Night Before Christmas DSP.

I adhered the DSP square with Liquid Glue – then popped the sentiment over top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added a couple lengths of Real Red 1/8″ Curly Ribbon across the bottom of the panel – adhering them in the back with Glue Dots.  Then I tied a bow in the center.

A single Red Rhinestone Basic Jewel finished off the card front!

On the inside, I stamped a sentiment from the Making Christmas Bright set in Real Red on a Whisper White panel.  I added the wreath in Pineapple Punch a few times, too!

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Real Red mat and into my Crumb Cake card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more Making Christmas Bright wreaths in Pineapple Punch on the front….

…and more of the Night Before Christmas DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Fun – easy – and quick.  All thanks to the Stamparatus and some fun images and sentiments from Making Christmas Bright and the Everything Festive stamp sets!  I hope you like!

Finn Fan Fix

Yesterday, while Wayne winterized the trailer,

Finn and I picked some apples from the orchard next door.  Not to worry – we had permission and only took ones that had already fallen on the ground!

We got a decent little haul – and they’re GOOD!!

Of course they’re for the ponies – but they do share with us!

Finn had a blast – watch for more pics in the next couple of days!

  1. Fun card! Love the stamped background. It does look like Finn had a great time “helping”…did he try the apples too? Hoping that he liked them if he did! 🙂

Nope – he just liked looking at them. And galloping madly about around the trees! Thanks, Amy! 🙂
