Stampin’ Up! Woodland Gather Together

Well – good Monday morning!  Sorry if “Good Monday” is still a bit of an oxymoron! 😉

I know that yesterday’s card used the Come to Gather DSP – but…so does today’s!  Sorry!  I paired it today with the Gather Together Bundle and the Woodland Embossing Folder.  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one comes from this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge!

And I took inspiration from the Just Us Girls Photo Week challenge.

I started with a piece of the Come To Gather DSP that I matted on Crushed Curry for the card front.

For the next layer, I embossed a smaller Whisper White panel in the Woodland Embossing Folder.  Then, with images from the Gather Together stamp set, I added some wheat sheaves in Crushed Curry, surrounded by the splatter image a few times in stamped-off-once Merry Merlot.

I matted the panel on Crushed Curry and then adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

On a piece of Whisper White, I stamped the large leaf from Gather Together.  I inked it in Pumpkin Pie, then used a Sponge Dauber to add some Merry merlot along the veins.  Once it was stamped, I cut it with the matching die in the Gathered Leaves set.

I cut three of the fun emboss-and-cut leaves with the dies in the Gathered Dies set.  I lightly spritzed a piece of Crushed Curry and one of Merry Merlot with water then cut the leaves.  While they were still damp, I lightly curled them with my fingers.

For the sentiment, I first used the pumpkin images from Gather Together.  I inked the large pumpkin in Pumpkin Pie, stamped it off once on scrap paper, then stamped it on Whisper White.  Then I covered it with a sticky note mask that I’d fussy cut for an earlier card.  I TOLD you guys to SAVE YOUR FUSSY CUT MASKS!!  Over the top, I added the double-pumpkin image in stamped-off-once Crushed Curry.  Then I picked up the mask and added the sentiment in Merry Merlot.

I fussy cut the whole image.

With two lengths of Linen Thread, I tied a big, loose simple bow.

Then it was time to do a dry fit!

Once I “had” it – I put everything together.  All the leaves are layered on with Liquid Glue.

Then I added the bow with a Glue Dot and popped the sentiment on with Stampin’ Dimensionals – and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped a second sentiment from Gather Together in Merry Merlot on a Whisper White panel.  Then I added the pumpkins again – just like on the front, with stamped-off-once Pumpkin Pie and Crushed Curry.  This time, though, I ALSO added a mask for the double-pumpkin.  Then, over the top of all of it, I stamped the wheat sheaf image in Crushed Curry.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Crushed Curry mat and into my Merry Merlot card front, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got the pumpkin vignette on the front – in full strength ink…

…and more of the Come to Gather DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  This Gather Together stamp set and wunnermus bundled Gathered Leaves Dies is one of my favorite bundles of Fall goodness EVER!  Those leaves!!  I mean…come on!  If you don’t already have this one…GET IT!!  Now.  I’m not even kidding! 😉  I hope you like!

Finn Fan Fix

When you realize your parents are going out for pizza and you LOVE pizza and you don’t get to go cuz it’s still Fake-Fall and would be too hot.

His life is fairly awful….

I had enough meds in my system to feel good enough – and it meant no cooking AND I sorta LOVE Mellow Mushroom pizza, so….very worth the effort!!! 😉 Finn – poor abused soul that he is – wasa forced to eat a Hungry Hound biscuit in his cushy bed and then take a nap. Quite horrible, indeed! Thanks, Faith! 🙂
