Stampin’ Up! A Christmas Countdown Big Thank You for the Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all – welcome to another edition of Amy’s Inkin’ Krew team blog hop!  Each month we make projects centered around a theme – and this month our theme is Giving Thanks!  We can interpret that any way we want – so…be sure to check and see everyone’s projects – we’ve got a bunch of talented ladies hopping with us this month!

So – I figured that we all learned that it’s the right/polite/courteous thing to do to send thank you cards – and with Christmas coming, it’s Thank You Card season!  I used the Christmas Countdown stamp set (I TOLD you it’s a great set for more than just the Countdown Project Kit!!) and the A Big Thank You stamp set to make a quick set of 6 notecards.  Take a look-see:

I called heavily on the Stamparatus to make this card – which let me get 6 (with envelopes!) – done very quickly!

On a piece of Whisper White cardstock, I used my Stamparatus to stamp the pine bough image from Christmas Countdown in Mossy Meadow Ink.  I also stamped the Thanks sentiment from the A Big Thank You in Night of Navy. I put each stamp on an acrylic plate and stamped the six card fronts quick like a bunny!

I used my Light and Dark Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blends to color all the berries and my Light and Dark Mossy Meadow Blends to color the leaves.

Using the scattered stars image in Christmas Countdown, I stamped around the pine bough in Golden Glitz Delicata Ink. Tip – be sure to let that Delicata ink dry!!

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the card fronts to Night of Navy mats and then to the fronts of my Whisper White Note Cards.

I added a Night of Navy gem from the Noble Peacock Rhinestones and the card fronts were done!

The inside is super simple – just some more Golden Glitz Delicata stars here and there….

And I finished off the front of the matching envelopes in the same way!

I stacked them up and wrapped some 3/16″ Braided Linen Trim around it…boom!  Perfect gift, yes??

Et Voila!  Less than hour (and much of that was waiting for the Delicata ink to dry!) and I had a wonderful little set of notecards and envelopes! Since the Christmas Countdown set is an image-only set – you can pair it up with any sentiment set – and the A Big Thank You is pretty perfect!  Change the color of the sentiment/mat to make it more or less Christmas-y.  Or Wedding-y.  Or birthday-y!!  I hope you like!

See?  Toldja – you NEED this Christmas Countdown set in your arsenal!

Now that you’ve seen my card, I hope you’ll take a little time to jump thru all the other projects we have to share. Click any name below, or you can use the Previous Blog button to jump to Karen’s page or the Next Blog button to see what Jaimie’s been up to!
