Stampin’ Up! Feels Like a Frosty Snow Front

Good Monday, y’all!  Sorry if “Good Monday” is still an oxymoron for you! 😉

Before we get going – don’t miss out on your chance to earn Double Peppermints, okay?  Today and tomorrow is all that’s left!  JS.

My card today is a frosty one – using the gorgeous and wunnermus Feels Like Frost Specialty DSP and the Snow Front stamp set.  With an assist from the Memories of Home set for some sentiments!  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one comes from the Mojo Monday sketch challenge!

I started with a Whisper White panel that I embossed in the Woodland Embossing Folder.  Then I matted it on Smoky Slate for the card front.

Next up – the gorgeous Feels Like Frost Specialty DSP – also matted on Smoky Slate and adhered to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I wrapped a length of Seaside Spray 1/4″ Metallic Ribbon around the card front, securing it in the back with Glue Dots.

To create the art/sentiment, I stamped a sentiment from the Memories Of Home stamp set in Pretty Peacock on a small Whisper White rectangle.  With the images from the Snow Front stamp set – I created my scene!  The cabin is stamped in Crumb Cake.  The snow in front in stamped-off-once Seaside Spray.  I added some mountains/sky in stamped-off-once Balmy Blue.  Finally – in stamped-off-once Shaded Spruce, a few trees finished it all off!  Stamping off is a great way to soften an image, don’t you think?

I matted the panel on Smoky Slate, then popped it onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

A small bow, tied with the Seaside Spray 1/4″ Metallic Ribbon is adhered with a Glue Dot – and the front of the card was finished up with a single Pretty Peacock gem from the Noble Peacock Rhinestones pack.

On the inside, I stamped a second Memories of Home sentiment in Pretty Peacock on a Whisper White panel.  Then I added the snowy Snow Front scene – and another Pretty Peacock gem! – in the corner.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Smoky Slate mat and into my Balmy Blue card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got another Snow Front scene on the front…

…and another piece of the Feels Like Frost Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  It’s hard not to love that Feels Like Frost Specialty DSP, isn’t it?  And I think the Snow Front stamp set – which is an image-only set! – is a wonderful jumping-off point for lots of winter projects.  Finally, since we needed a good sentiment…Memories of Home just felt…perfect!   I hope you like!

Finn Fan Fix

I mentioned that we (Wayne, Finn and I), worked on Shares on Saturday.

Wayne helped and Finn “helped”.  Please notice the distinction!

But, in the end…everything was packed and tucked into a few of my perfectly sized Thirty One Large Utility Totes – ready to go to the PO today.

…and Wayne and the Man….enjoyed a well-deserved break!

  1. Who wouldn’t be delighted to receive this Christmas card! I could kick myself for not getting that ribbon. It really is the finishing touch for an already beautiful card. I can’t wait to play with the paper. Hope the shares were easier to put together without ribbon!

    • stampsnlingers

They sure were! Easy peasy and they’re winging their way to their recipients as I type! Whoo-hoo!! Thanks very much, Karen! 🙂

  2. Paula Poindexter

Very nice card Mary! And you captured that sketch perfectly.

And Finn offers you devoted support and that’s hard work for the young man.
    Great job Wayne!
Now on to the next project!

    • stampsnlingers

Yes – he’s a good support system! Lots of hugging and doggie-grins! Thanks very much, Paula! 🙂

  3. Beautiful card! Your layers are fantastic, love the colors too. Yay for share helpers! I’m sure that Finn was the finder of lost googly eyes and scraps of anything that fell off the table. He is a good “helper”. 😉

    • stampsnlingers

Yep – he IS a good “helper”! And sometimes it’s the thought that counts – right?? Thanks so much, Amy! 🙂

  4. What a perfect, classy card. Love it. Great color combination too. Good thing you had helpers or you would never have finished that gargantuan task!

    • stampsnlingers

Yep – it was all hands and paws on deck! Thanks so much, Julie! 🙂

  5. Oh Mary! I definitely had to stop and linger over this beautiful card! Such a fantastic winter scene and gorgeous card. So glad you could join me for Mojo Monday!
