Stampin’ Up! New Wonders Sneak Peek

Hey, y’all!  Happy Monday and Happy Memorial Day!  Sending out thanks to those who went ahead of us in the Service of our Country – securing our freedom and this wonderful life we have here!

My card today uses one of the uber-sweet Host-exclusive stamp sets in the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog – the New Wonders set.  I paired it up with some Bird Ballad DSP for a pretty little congratulations card!  I mean – it’s graduation season!  Take a look-see:

The clean layout comes from this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

I started by stamping the sweet New Wonders image in Tuxedo Black on a piece of Bird Ballad DSP (this stamp set and DSP will be available on 4 June!), using my Stamparatus.  I matted the panel on Shaded Spruce for the card front.

I also stamped the image on a piece of Whisper White while I had everything set up.

I colored the leaves of both images with my Light and Dark Shaded Spruce Stampin’ Blends – and colored the vines with my Shaded Spruce Stampin’ Write Marker.

The little fairy – seriously?  How cute is she?!? – is colored with my Light Balmy Blue, Light and Dark Highland Heather, Light and Dark Daffodil Delight, Light Petal Pink and Ivory Stampin’ Blends.  I colored the “page” with my Light Soft Sea Foam Stampin’ Blend.  I brushed her wings and dress with Clear Wink of Stella.

I cut the image out with a Stitched Shapes Framelits circle die and, lining the image up, popped it onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On a smaller piece of Whisper White, I stamped the New Wonders sentiment in Shaded Spruce and punched it with the Classic Label Punch.  I used my Petal Pink Stampin’ Write Marker to edge the sentiment and adhered it with a little Liquid Glue and a Stampin’ Dimensional.

I colored the little hearts with my Petal Pink Stampin’ Write Marker, added a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels and the card front was done!

On the inside, I added a second New Wonders sentiment in Shaded Spruce to a Whisper White panel.  There are some little New Wonders leaves stamped and colored in Shaded Spruce – and a Rhinestone, too!  I added some little “stars” – like tiny asterisks! – with my Petal Pink Stampin’ Write Marker around the leaves and sentiment.  There was too much green!!

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Shaded Spruce mat and into my Petal Pink card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more New Wonders leaves in Shaded Spruce and Petal Pink asterisk “stars” on the front…

…and some more Bird Ballad DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  How adorable is that little image?  And she appears three times in the New Wonders stamp set – along with a bevy of sentiments in a beautiful font. And I think it works really well with the Bird Ballad DSP!  I hope you like!
