Stampin’ Up! Friendly Florentine Filigree Thanks!

Good morning!  Welcome to Tuesday!  I hope your week is going well.  We’re having a lovely little Spring-snap here in GA!  We even opened all the windows and doors on Monday – it was really nice to air the house out a little bit!  The Man spent much of the day outside enjoying the sunshine and breeze!  Would be nice if this lasted until…forever! 🙂

My card today uses a really cool little bundle in the 2019 Occasions catalog called the Florentine Filigree set.  The die that is in the bundle, the Florentine Thinlit, is a card-front-sized die that makes a wonderful element for our projects!  I put them all together in a few pretty colors and…take a look-see:

The layout for this one comes from this week’s CAS(E) This Sketch challenge.

And the colors are from the FabFriday color challenge.

I started by cutting the Florentine Thinlit die from a piece of Basic Black card stock.  I also cut a similar size piece of Very Vanilla to create the card front.

I used my Stamparatus and the Florentine Filigree stamp set to create the stamped images on the card front.  I placed the Very Vanilla panel into the Stamparatus and covered it with the die cut panel.  Then I used that as a guide to stamp the images.  Does that make sense?  The stamp set is photopolymer, making it fairly easy to line the stamp up with the stencil openings.

I stamped the 4-image stamp in Grapefruit Grove and the smaller, 5-image stamp in Blushing Bride.

Once I had all the stamping done, I used Liquid Glue to adhere the black die cut panel to the stamped Very Vanilla panel.  Then I trimmed the whole thing down to 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″ and matted it on a Lovely Lipstick panel.

I wrapped a length of Lovely Lipstick ribbon from the All My Love Ribbon Combo Pack around the panel, securing it in the back with Glue Dots.

For the art, I stamped the big image from the Florentine Filigree stamp set in Blushing Bride on Very Vanilla and cut it out with a Stitched Shapes Framelits die.  I matted it on a Lovely Lipstick scalloped circle, cut with the Layering Circle Framelits.

I made a frame from Grapefruit Grove with a Stitched Shapes circle and a smaller smooth-sided circle and matted it on a larger scalloped-edge frame of Lovely Lipstick.

Then I adhered the frame over the art with Liquid Glue and popped it all onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The sentiment, from Florentine Filigree, is stamped in Lovely Lipstick on Grapefruit Grove and cut with a Rectangle Stitched Framelit.  It’s adhered with a couple of Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I tied a bow from the Lovely Lipstick Ribbon and stuck it on with a Glue Dot. Tip:  I used a little bit of Metallic Thread to tie a snug knot around the ribbon already on the card front.  That pulled the ribbon down – and makes the stuck on bow look more “real”!

I punched a couple of little flowers from Lovely Lipstick and Blushing Bride with the Bitty Blooms Punch Pack and tucked them under the sentiment.  Then I added a few Grapefruit Grove Share What You Love Artisan Pearls and the card front was done!

On the inside, I added more of the Florentine Filigree images across the bottom of a Very Vanilla panel in Grapefruit Grove and Blushing Bride.  Then I added a second sentiment in Lovely Lipstick.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Lovely Lipstick mat and into my Basic Black card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got more Florentine Filigree up one side…

…and I added some Grapefruit Grove paper from the 2018-2020 In Color DSP to the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I love how the Florentine Filigree stamp set and Florentine Thinlit works together to create such a gorgeous panel, don’t you?  Especially with these colors popping against the black!  I hope you like!

Finn Fan Fix

Wayne’s started walking with me in the evening – so we make our little trek to and from the barn to feed.

Finn thinks it’s wonderful fun that we’re all strolling along as a family.

He’s actually right -it’s pretty nice!

He almost always will find a stick and help his Dad decide that he should play…

His Dad usually obliges him!

They have a pretty good time!
