Stampin’ Up! Botanical Doilies & Butterflies

Good Sunday, y’all!  Tomorrow Santa will begin his whirlwind tour!  Hopefully all his elves are ready!

And remembered AA – AAA – 9V and 75 C-Cell batteries! 😉

In order to ensure that all the elves have time for their last-minute preparations, we will NOT do a video tonight – sorry!  This elf is going to spend the evening watching Hallmark Christmas movies! 🙂  I’ll see y’all next Sunday!

My card today should bring Spring to mind – it does for me, with its gorgeous Botanical Butterfly paper and wonderful sentiments from the Dear Doily stamp set.  Take a look-see:

And my color scheme is from this week’s Global Design Project challenge.

I started with some gorgeous Botanical Butterfly DSP – which is one of the awesome Sale-A-Bration goodies that will be available to you for FREE with a $50 purchase starting on 3 January! – and matted it on a piece of Poppy Parade card stock for the card front.

I snipped a length of the Poppy Parade 1/2″ Textured Weave Ribbon from the Holiday Catalog and adhered it with a little bit of Liquid Glue.

The sentiment, from the Dear Doily set (coming on 3 Jan in the 2019 Occasions catalog), is stamped in Granny Apple Green on Whisper White, then matted on Poppy Parade and popped onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The Botanical Butterfly DSP is lovely – with colorful designs on one side, and black-and-white prints on the other.  One of those is strewn with butterflies that perfectly fit the Butterfly Duet punch (part of the Butterfly Gala Bundle in the Occasions catalog).  I colored three of them with my Light and Dark Pool Party Stampin’ Blends and the Dark Granny Apple Green Blend and punched them out.

I adhered them sort of willy-nilly with Liquid Glue (and a few pieces of Stampin’ Dimensionals to support their wings!), added a Granny Apple Green Glitter Enamel Dot and the card front was done!

On the inside, I added a second sentiment from the Dear Doily set in Granny Apple Green on a Whisper White panel.  Using my Stamparatus and the marker-to-stamp coloring technique, I added two flower stems from Dear Doily – the flowers I colored in Poppy Parade and the stems in Granny Apple Green.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Poppy Parade mat and into my Basic Black card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more Dear Doily flowers on the front…

…and a little more of the Botanical Butterfly DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  This new 2019 Occasions and Sale-A-Bration Catalogs are long on beautiful flowers and wonderful butterflies and the Dear Doily stamp set and Botanical Butterfly DSP are part of that beauty!  I sure hope you like!
