Stampin’ Up! Home Again to Finn!

Hey guys!  First post back in Atlanta – and it’s a “no card – no sneak peek” post, so sorry.   And it’s a double-whammy of bad news – alas, no video tonight, either.  My craft spot is just as bad as I remembered and I just can’t get it together for a video.  I’ll do better next week, I promise! 🙁

Man – is it nice to be home!  Had a great flight – the upgrade to First Class was worth every single dime!  Watched Book Club – new-ish movie with Diane Keaton, Mary Steenbergen, Candace Bergen and Jane Fonda.  Have you seen it??  I really enjoyed it – fun plot, good dialogue.  And Don Johnson.  And Andy Garcia.  Neither are hard on the eyes and they did a good job.  It needs to go on your need-to-see list!

Wayne and Finn picked me up as usual – and the ride home was…Finn-centric (also as usual!).

I was finally able to get one decent picture – Smile, Finn!

Apparently, although he’s been getting bones and pets from his Dad, they don’t stack up to Mom-Loves!

Nor does his Dad wear a lot of lotion.

And Finn LOVES him some lotion!

After he stopped just being loved on – he spent the rest of the ride home licking every reachable spot he could find – cuz I DO use lotion! 😉

Also – I’m sure he just LOOOOOOVES me! 😉

He did finally settle back to his normal Finn position in the van…

It was lovely to see all the green – a person does get sort of “grass/green/tree” starved in the desert of California!

Once we got the suitcase inside and in the bedroom (please notice I did NOT say unpacked!)…I was treated to an old favorite…

Yes indeed.  Very very nice to be home!

I’ll be back tomorrow with a card – pinky swear! 🙂

Welcome home, Mary. Great to have you back where you belong – with Wayne and Finn and other 4 legged ones. Rest and recuperate and then have fun with your family. Hugs, Mal, Melbourne, Australia

  2. Woo hoo! So glad you made it safely and had such a welcoming committee. The drive to your hacienda looks amazingly long and pretty. I’m so glad you are taking the night off…you deserve it and I wouldn’t be able to be with you so it works for me…lol. Enjoy your day with your boys and girls.

  6. Yay! So glad that you made it home safely…hopefully all of your stamping goodies did too! Hope that you can get your craftastrophy (yep, that’s Sue’s term!!) cleaned up and back in order soon. Have fun cleaning in between the butt wiggling. 🙂

LOL – PERFECT word it is, too! I’ll have to pull up my big-girl panties pretty quick and get after it, that’s for sure! Thanks, Amy! 🙂

So glad you are home again with your loved ones. We adopted our Sadie (dalmatian) from our breeder when she was 4 years old back in 2009. Since that day, she has never been away from me… we don’t have children so she is (like the dals we had before her) the light of our lives… she is 13 now and starting to have problems with her legs .. I found out last week she has 6 bulging discs… trying to bring down the swelling with medicine… but they keep telling me is not in pain which I am not sure exactly how they know that… it just blows my mind… just very happy you are back with Finn… and of course your husband… thank you for sharing your pictures…

    • stampsnlingers

Oh dear – it’s so hard to watch them begin to have the troubles associated with age, isn’t it? Makes us realize how little time we really get with them. Give your Sadie an extra pat for me – and lots and lots of hugs and kisses! Thanks, Bernice! 🙂

  9. Welcome baaaaack!

Yay for being home and getting cuddles and licks (I think?) Smart of you to make family and settling in first after being gone for so long. Enjoy the day…we’ll still be here tomorrow and next week for the video. Enjoy the green.

    • stampsnlingers

Thanks for understanding, Susan! As I do the settling, I’m realizing I’m more tired than I thought! Must be getting old! 🙂

  13. So happy for you to be home. Take a well deserved day/night off and just enjoy being home with your family. We will survive!!! Love the photos. I take it Wayne doesn’t like to have his picture taken. Beautiful drive to your place. Hugs.

    • stampsnlingers

Well – Wayne’s handsome, but Finn’s kind of a camera hog! LOL! Thanks, Julie! 🙂

Hey Mary! So good to see you are back at home with Finn, your hubby and the rest of your furr baby’s.
Yes the California desert leaves a lot to be desired if you looking for green not much there. Enjoy your time off and get some rest. Tomorrow is another day and next sunday will come soon enough. So fun to see your pics of Finn loving you up! 🙂 I sure miss that from our beloved Shih Tzu.

    • stampsnlingers

I sure get that, Kathy – when they leave us, they leave a hole that can’t be filled! 🙁 Thanks for the understanding – and I’ll see everyone next Sunday! 🙂
