Stampin’ Up! Sending Healing Hugs

Well.  It’s Friday!  Whoo-Hoo!

You made it to the weekend – take a hot second to reach around and pat yourself on the back.

I’ll wait.  🙂

My card today uses a sweet new stamp set called Healing Hugs!  I paired this beauty with some Garden Impressions DSP and…take a look-see:

This color scheme was inspired by this week’s Cupcake Inspiration Challenge.

I started with a So Saffron card base and stamped it all over with So Saffron ink using one of the small flower images in the Healing Hugs stamp set.

Next I cut a panel of Garden Impressions DSP in a So Saffron design, and adhered it at a jaunty angle with Liquid Glue.

The next layer is Whisper White and, using So Saffron and Granny Apple Green, I stamped some more of the flowers, the cross-stitched image and some leaves onto the panel.

To create the flower, I inked the large stamp with Powder Pink ink – then I used a Sponge Dauber to add Poppy Parade around different portions of the image – which added some depth and additional color when I stamped it on a piece of Whisper White.  Then I fussy cut the flower.

I used the same technique for the leaves – inking them with Lemon Lime Twist then adding Granny Apple Green around the edges.  I stamped them on Whisper White and fussy cut them as well.

The Healing Hugs sentiment is stamped in Powder Pink on a strip of Whisper White that I bannerized with my Paper Snips and edged with my Powder Pink Stampin’ Write Marker.

I built the collage by adhering the fussy cut leaves with Liquid Glue and popping the flower on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added a length of Powder Pink 3/8″ Mini Ruffled Ribbon and one of Whisper White 5/8″ Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon to the bottom of the sentiment banner with Glue Dots, then popped it over the sentiment with Dimensionals and Liquid Glue.  A Powder Pink 2017-2019 In Color Flower Button and small Whisper White Baker’s Twine Bow is adhered with Glue Dots.

I finished the card front with a few So Saffron Share What You Love Artisan Pearls.

The inside of the card got more So Saffron Healing Hugs flowers stamped all over.  Then on the Whisper White liner, I added the same flower image in stamped-off-once So Saffron.  Over top of that is a second Healing Hugs sentiment in Powder Pink.

I matted the panel on the same Garden Impression DSP design that I’d used on the front and then into the card base with Liquid Glue and the card was done.

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got a few more Healing Hugs flowers in So Saffron on the front…

…and the envelope flap got more of the pretty Garden Impressions DSP.

Et Voila!  The Healing Hugs stamp set is so aptly named – just looking at the pretty images and perfect sentiments will feel like a warm hug to the recipient of a card made with this beautiful set!  Hope you like!
