Stampin’ Up! A Big Bee-utiful Thank You!

Good morning and Happy Friday!  Hope your week has gone well and that something good is on the books for the weekend!

Last Sunday, on my FB Live video, y’all got a little sneaky peek at a project I was working on.  Today I’ve got that finished card for you!  It uses the wonderful new a la carte stamp set called Bee Thankful, plus a few sentiments and images from the new A Big Thank You stamp set.  Take a look-see:

Since a thank-you card is frequently the result of an occasion, I felt like I could play along with this week’s Watercolor Cooler Challenge.  So I did! 🙂

I started with some pretty Calypso Coral paper from the new Animal Expedition DSP that I matted on Daffodil Delight for the card front.

On a piece of Granite Gray card stock, I stamped the big Bee Thankful image in Early Espresso.  Then I colored the image with my White, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight and Calypso Coral Watercolor Pencils.

With a non-SU! White Gel Pen, I added some faux stitches that look a little like the white design on the DSP.  I also added a few little “highlight” dots here and there around the image.  Then I matted it on Daffodil Delight and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I used a Glue Dot to add a Tropical Elements button to the panel and another to adhere a little bow tied from some Grapefruit Grove Nature’s Twine.  And that was it for the card front.  This wonderful stamp does all the heavy lifting on this card!

On the inside, I added a sentiment from the A Big Thank You in Early Espresso to a Whisper White panel.  Then I added a few flowers in Daffodil Delight.  These are also in the A Big Thank You set – I stamped the fill image a couple of times without re-inking, then added the outline image – all in Daffodil Delight.  For the centers, I stamped the little heart in Grapefruit Grove.

I matted the panel on Daffodil Delight and adhered it into my Granite Gray card base with Liquid Glue, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got another flurry of A Big Thank You flowers…

…and another pop of Animal Expedition DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  When I saw this Bee Thankful stamp in the new catalog it was instantly at the top of my must-have list.  I mean, seriously?  Could that little bee bee any cuter?!?  And the darling font and little leaves.  Really – you NEED this one, y’all!  And the A Big Thank You set is chock-a-block full of wonderful sentiments of gratitude, plus flowers and leaves with which to embellish your creations!  I hope you like!
