Stampin’ Up! Seasoned With Kindness Thanks

Happy Happy Hawwwmp Day, y’all!  Hope your week is going well!  I appreciate all the kind e-mails and well-wishes I’ve gotten these past couple of days as I’ve dealt with my hives.  They seem to be on the mend – still look pretty awful, but the medicine I’ve been taking seems to have finally gotten the itching under control!  🙂

I made a little thank you card for you today – borrowing some ideas from the catalog.  No – I’m not ashamed to admit it – those SU! designers are awesome and the catalog is a super place to go to get design inspiration!

I used the host-exclusive stamp set called Seasoned With Kindness along with a little dab of Nature’s Poem DSP.  Take a look-see:

I started with a Shaded Spruce card base and used the fun foliage image from Seasoned with Kindness to stamp all over the front with Shaded Spruce ink.

Then I took two pieces of Grapefruit Grove paper from the Nature’s Poem DSP and adhered them to the card front with Liquid Glue.  Over top of those, I added a couple of lengths of 5/8″ Burlap Ribbon.

For the art piece, I stamped the foliage in Granny Apple Green and Shaded Spruce directly to the Whisper White panel.  I used Shaded Spruce for the outline images and Granny Apple Green (full strength on the left-side leaves and stamped off once on the right-side.)  Then, on a scrap of Gray Granite card stock, I stamped the two-step pot images in Gray Granite and fussy cut each pot.

I wrapped a piece of Linen Thread around each pot, securing it in the back with a Glue Dot.  Then I popped the pots over the plants with a Stampin’ Dimensional.  I tied three tiny Linen Thread bows and added them with a dab of Liquid Glue.

Finally, for the tag, I stamped the Seasoned With Kindness image in Grapefruit Grove on Whisper Whtie and fussy cut it.  I used my Shaded Spruce Stampin’ Write Marker to add some faux stitches to the tag – and to the art panel.  I tucked the tag under the Linen Thread bow with a little more Glue.  Then I popped the whole panel onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  And that was it for the card front.

On the inside, I stamped a sentiment from Seasoned With Kindness in Grapefruit Grove on a Whisper White panel.  Next to it, I added a flower – stamping the outline in Shaded Spruce and the fill in stamped-off-once Grapefruit Grove and stamped-off-once Granny Apple Green.  Then I added more faux stitches in Shaded Spruce.

I adhered the panel to a Grapefruit Grove mat and then into the card base with Liquid Glue and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got another flower on the front…

…and a bunch of foliage in Shaded Spruce and Granny Apple Green on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Isn’t this Seasoned With Kindness such a pretty set??  I really love the greenery and the cute little pots!  Hope you like!

I love your card! I am in awe of your faux stitching….it’s so even! Do you have any tips for how to get it so perfect? Glad to hear the hives are getting better.

Thanks much, Kathy! Tips for stitches…well – I try to take my time as much as anything – and I don’t get too het up when I see one go awry – I just correct on the next one. And – if you looked really closely, I’m betting they wouldn’t be so perfect looking! 🙂 Thank you! 🙂

Thanks so much, Kathy! And – those are pretty much the only kind of stitches I have any real luck with! The “faux” kind! 🙂
