Stampin’ Up! Basketweave Springtime Stroll Thanks

Happy Hawwmp day, y’all!  I have to say that, for the first time in a really long time – I’m not anxious for the arrival of the weekend.

Not.  Even.  A.  Little.

But – I’ll be happy for y’all!!  So – whoo-hoo!!

My card today was inspired by one of the Catalog sample cards for the sweet host-exclusive Springtime Stroll stamp set.  For my version, I put it over top of some pretty Basket Weave embossed Soft Sea Foam.  Take a look-see:

I was also loosely inspired by the layout in this week’s CAS(E) This Sketch challenge.  Turn your head 90d to the side – you’ll see it! 😉

I started out with a panel of Soft Sea Foam and embossed it in the wonderful Basket Weave Dynamic TIEF.  Then I matted it on a piece of Grapefruit Grove-design paper from the Nature’s Poem DSP for the card front.

I used another strip of the same DSP and adhered it across the panel with Liquid Glue.  Then I added a little 5/8″ Burlap Ribbon with more Liquid Glue.

I cut out a Stitched Shapes Framelits circle from Whisper White, and stamped the Springtime Stroll strawberry plant on it in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  I stamped it a few more times on scrap Whisper.  I also stamped a few of the sweet little flowers.

I colored the strawberries in Lovely Lipstick (with my Stampin’ Write Marker) and added some “seeds” with my Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker.  The flowers are colored in Soft Saffron.  Then I fussy cut a bunch of each.  I also stamped the watering can image in Granite Gray and fussy cut it as well.  I used Blender Pens to shade the can – and cut it in half across the middle.

I popped the circle onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The sentiment, from Springtime Stroll, is stamped in Melon Mambo on Grapefruit Grove card stock – and the ends punched with the Triple Banner Punch.  I adhered the top and bottom of the watering can with Liquid Glue – and then popped the sentiment over with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Cutting the can made it taller so it would peek above and below the banner!

I added my fussy cut strawberries and flowers with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals – strewing them hither and yon to make a bountiful bucket-full!  To finish it all off, I added Grapefruit Grove Share What You Love Artisan Pearls to the flower centers – and one to the sentiment banner!

On the inside, I stamped a bunch of Springtime Stroll flowers in Tuxedo Black across the bottom of a Whisper White panel.  I colored them with So Saffron and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Write Markers.  A sentiment and some butterflies in Melon Mambo came next.

I adhered the panel to the same Nature’s Poem DSP that I used on the front and then into my Soft Sea Foam card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more Springtime Stroll flowers and butterflies on the front…

…and more Nature’s Poem DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Love this Springtime Stroll stamp set – and it’s available only with Stampin’ Rewards!  If you want it – give me shout and we’ll get you hooked up!  And – doesn’t it look super fun over top of the embossed Basket Weave?  Hope you like!

Mary, The Basket Weave embossing folder makes a perfect background for the strawberries …..remembering when we used to pick strawberries at Grandma’s house using the wooden baskets.

Yes! We had those baskets, too – we grew up in SoCal surrounded (back then!) by strawberry fields! Wonderful! Thanks, Susan! 🙂
