Stampin’ Up! Eclectic Expressions of Amazing Congratulations

Happy Happy Friday!  And – it’s a Friday before a three-day weekend!  Whoo-hoo!

AND – it’s the day for the release of the new SAB goodies and my One Day Even Sweeter Sticky Sweet Ordering Special!  This special is only good today, y’all – so…git ‘er done! 🙂

My friend from work recently got a new job – a promotion! – so I wanted to make a card for her.  It uses the third new Sale-A-Bration goody – the Eclectic Expressions stamp set – as well as a 2018 Occasions set called Amazing Congratulations.  Take a look-see:

This clean and simple card uses colors from this week’s Global Design Project.

I started with a Dapper Denim card base and, with two of the circle shapes in the new Eclectic Expressions stamp set (available to select FREE today with a $50 order!), stamped all over the front of it in Dapper Denim ink.  I made sure to overlap the large image (I stamped it twice each time without re-inking) – creating a sort of Bokeh effect.

I made the sentiment with the 2018 Occasions set called Amazing Congratulations.  This large sentiment is a three-step image.  I did the first step – the outline – in Daffodil Delight.  The second step is done in Melon Mambo.  I did the third stamp twice.  The first time, I used Daffodil Delight.  And I didn’t really like it, so I inked the image again in Melon Mambo, stamped it off once on scrap paper, and stamped it over the Daffodil Delight.  And that worked for me!

I stamped the swoosh image from Amazing Congratulations in Daffodil Delight under the large word, then added the second sentiment in Dapper Denim.   I Fast Fuse’d the panel to a Melon Mambo mat and then popped it on the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I used a narrow piece of Myths & Magic Specialty Washi Tape and ran it just under the sentiment panel at the bottom, snipping off the excess.  Then I wrapped a length of Silver Baker’s Twine around the card front, securing it in the front with a squished up Glue Dot.  I tied a little bow and added it, too.  Finally, I added a few Glitter Enamel Dots in Dapper Denim and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped a second sentiment from the Amazing Congratulations in Dapper Denim on a Whisper White panel.  I surrounded it with some Melon Mambo hearts and Daffodil Delight stars – also from Amazing Congratulations. 

I repeated my Dapper Denim Bokeh circles on the inside of the card, then I Fast Fuse’d the panel to a Melon Mambo mat and into the card base and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more hearts and stars from Amazing Congratulations on the front…

…and more Dapper Denim Bokeh circles from Eclectic Expressions on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  These two stamp sets – the Amazing Congratulations from the Occasions catalog – and the FREE Eclectic Expressions complement each other perfectly, don’t you think?  Both offer plenty of options for making quick and simple cards for lots of different occasions.  Hope you like!
