Stampin’ Up! Blossoming Basket Weave Sneak Peek for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Happy Thursday, y’all – and welcome to another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!! We’ve got a color challenge today – so be sure to check out all the ladies’ projects when you’re done here, won’t you?  Oh – and don’t forget to stock up on Fast Fuse today!!

I decided to give you guys a solid sneak peek at the bestest new Sale-A-Bration goody – the Blossoming Basket bundle. This is a wonderful stamp set bundled with the Basket Weave Dynamic TIEF.  And, y’all?  This TIEF will be sticking around after SAB and will be in the Annual Catalog this summer!  But…it for sure won’t be FREE!! So…you might oughta get it starting on 16 Feb when it IS free!  I borrowed a couple of ideas from the second release flyer and came up with this…take a look see:

Can you guess what the color challenge was?

Here’s another look at the bundle…

You’ll see I used pretty much every image in the stamp set! LOL!

I started by embossing a Peekaboo Peach panel in the Basket Weave Dynamic TIEF and Fast Fuse’d it to a Lemon Lime Twist mat for the card front.

The art piece is a square of Whisper White, also matted on Lemon Lime Twist.  I stamped the beautiful flower-filled basket from Blossoming Basket in Early Espresso on the square and Fast Fuse’d it to the card front.  At the same time, I stamped it again on a scrap piece of Whisper White.

I used my Lemon Lime Twist Stampin’ Write Marker to color the leaves.  I colored the basket on the art panel with my Light and Dark Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends.  On the scrap piece – I also colored the top part of the basket.  Then I used my Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Blends to color the flowers.  I rubbed the Color Lifter in the middle of each of the petals to create a little highlight.  Then I fussy cut just the flowers – not the leaves or berries – and popped it over the basket on the art panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I snipped some banner ends in a length of 5/8″ Burlap Ribbon and adhered it with Liquid Glue.  The sentiment, from Blossoming Basket, is stamped in Bermuda Bay on a strip of Whisper White.  I bannerized the right end with my Paper Snips, edged it with my Peekaboo Peach Stampin’ Write Marker and adhered it over the Burlap Ribbon.

I pulled a few strands out of another length of the Burlap Ribbon and tied a bow with three of them.  On a scrap of Whsiepr White, I stamped the little tag image from Blossoming Basket in Early Espresso and colored the hearts with my Peekaboo Peach Marker.  Then I fussy cut it and adhered it and the bow with a Glue Dot.

At that point, I thought I was done.  Really!  And then?  My eye fell upon the little butterfly….So, I stamped him in Early Espresso and (taking a little liberty with the colors) colored him with my Light and Dark Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends and fussy cut his little self.  I stuck a couple tiny pieces of Stampin’ Dimensional under his wings and stuck him right on the flowers!  And then…I was done with the card front! 😉

On the inside, I added the second sentiment from Blossoming Basket in Bermuda Bay on a Whisper White panel.  Using my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig, I added the little tag in Early Espresso and colored the hearts.  Across the bottom, I adhered a Lemon Lime Twist-matted strip of Peekaboo Peach that I’d embossed in the Basket Weave Dynamic TIEF.  Of course, the panel needed a butterfly (everyone needs a butterfly!)…dy

I Fast Fuse’d the panel to a Lemon Lime Twist mat and into my Crumb Cake card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got a Blossoming Basket butterfly (this time colored with my Bermuda Bay Blends and Color Lifter) and heart tag on the front…

…and I embossed the envelope flap in the Basket Weave Dynamic TIEF!

Et Voila!  Folks – starting on 16 Feb, you’ll be able to select this wonderful Blossoming Basket and Basket Weave Dynamic TIEF all together for FREE with a purchase of $100!  I think it’s one of the prettiest things Stampin’ Up! has released in a long time – and that’s in a long LONG line of beautiful products!!  Hope you like!

  1. So pretty Mary! Looks like we had the same idea with our projects today. 🙂 Love that embossed background and that basket of flowers!

  2. Absolutely love seeing what you created with what you “sneak peeked” the other night! Love it!

  3. Kate

    You met the challenge!!!

  4. Gorgeous card Mary! My set should arrive today..can’t wait to use it. More birthdays. Thank you for thinking of me by toning down the LLT using it only as a mat so that only a little of it shows! 🙂
I like all of SU’s TIEFs, but this one will get used probably as much as the pinewood planks. Your coloring is great as is your fussy cutting. It isn’t often that you use ALL the stamps in a set, but you showed this off to its best.

    • Yep – this one will get heavy use, I foresee!! And glad you liked the little teensy bit of LLT you could see! Thanks so much, Julie! 🙂

  5. Great card!! Love how you used the new SAB bundle!! And great coloring.

  6. Just shows how versatile that bundle is, heh? Thanks, Karen! 🙂

  7. Good job, Mary. Love the bright blue flowers in the basket. So cool to see two very different takes with these products. You and Amy did great.

  8. Susan K

Beautiful card. Love the fussy cut flowers in that pretty basket.
