Stampin’ Up! Tutti-Frutti Basket of Pears Valentine

Mornin’, y’all!  It’s Saturday – and a three-day weekend, at that!  Whoo-hoo!  Hope you’ve got something fun planned – and that the weather wherever you are is conducive to whatever you have planned!  Ours is rainy – wet – and getting cold again.  So…yeah!?

My card for today is a fun little Valentine for a friend.  Remember when Valentine’s were for friends – not just boyfriends, spouses, significant others?  Well – here’s a blast from the past.  A punny little Valentine for a friend, using the cute Fruit Basket Bundle!  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one hails from the sketch challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments.

This card started with one of the fun (and FREE!) Tutti Frutti Notecards and Envelopes from the 2018 Sale-A-Bration flyer!  I used a couple different designs from the Tutti Frutti DSP Stack and matted one square on Lemon Lime Twist card stock and then Fast Fuse’d it to the front of the Tutti Frutti Notecard.  The second design, I cut into a strip and then punched both ends in the Triple Banner Punch.

I did the same to a piece of Lemon Lime Twist card stock, then used Liquid Glue to adhere the two pieces together and then to the card front.  I wrapped a length of new Lemon Lime Twist 3/8″ Mini Striped Ribbon around the whole card front – adhering it with some Fast Fuse under where my art panel would be.

My art piece started with a square of Whisper White card stock.  I stamped the two-step basket from the Fruit Basket stamp set – the first (solid) image in Crumb Cake and then the “ribs” in Soft Suede.  Then I added the little handle image in Soft Suede.

I stamped a second basket on a scrap of Whisper White and fussy cut it.  With my Bone Folder, I gently rolled my fussy cut basket and used Liquid Glue at the bottom and a couple of Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals on each of the top corners and adhered it over the stamped basket.  

For the sentiment, I stamped the two Fruit Basket words in Real Red under the basket.  I also added some faux stitches with my Soft Suede Stampin’ Write Marker, and adhered the square to a scalloped Lemon Lime Twist square that I’d cut with a Squares Layering Framelit die.  Then I popped it on with some Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped a bunch of pears from the Fruit Basket set in Pear Pizzazz on Lemon Lime Twist card stock and cut them all out with the matching punch in the Itty Bitty Fruit Punch Pack.  Then I stuffed them – and a few Real Red heart Enamel Shapes – using some Liquid Glue and Mini Stampin’ DImensionals – into the fruit basket!

The final thing was to add a few Tutti Frutti Adhesive-Backed Sequins and the card front was done!

On the inside, I added a second sentiment from Fruit Basket in Real Red to a Whisper White panel.  Then I added a couple of Pear Pizzazz pears and some Tutti Frutti Washi Tape.  Of course, I had to add some more Soft Suede faux stitches, too!

I Fast Fuse’d the panel to a Lemon Lime Twist mat and into the Tutti Frutti Notecard and the card was done!

On my already decorated Envelope (bonus!!) I just added a couple of Pear Pizzazz pears on the front…

…and didn’t have to do a darned thing to the envelope flap – Stampin’ Up! did it for me! 🙂
