Stampin’ Up! Friendship’s Sweetest Thoughts

Mornin’, y’all!  Well, we did it!  It’s FRIDAY!  And – for me, at least – it’s the Friday before three entire days off.

No phone calls from work.  No e-mails from work.  No…nothing from work!  Whoo-hooo!

Today’s card uses another previously un-inked stamp set for me – called Friendship’s Sweetest Thoughts.  I paired it with the Petal Pair TIEF and…take a look-see:

I used the sketch challenge from this week’s MFT Card Challenge for my layout.

And many of the elements were inspired by this week’s Card Concept photo challenge.

I started with a Thick Very Vanilla card base and dry embossed one side of the front in the Petal Pair TIEF.

The art panel is a piece of Very Vanilla and I stamped the flower cart image from Friendship’s Sweetest Thoughts set in Basic Gray Archival Ink.  I colored the flowers with my Pink Pirouette Stampin’ Write Marker and the leaves with my Pool Party and Smoky Slate Markers.  I finished off each of the flowers with a Pearl Basic Jewel.

I used my Light and Dark Pool Party and Pink Pirouette Stampin’ Blends to color the cart’s canopy.  And my Smoky Slate Marker for the swag border.

The little bird is Pool Party and his heart is Pink Pirouette!

I embossed a Pink Pirouette panel in the Layered Leaves Dynamic TIEF and then Fast Fuse’d the art panel to it.  Then I popped the whole thing onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I tied a bow from some Very Vanilla 1/2″ Vintage Lace – leaving extra long tails.  I used a Glue Dot to adhere the bow in the corner and then used several more Glue Dots to adhere the tails in waves.

My sentiment, from Friendship’s Sweetest Thoughts, is stamped in Basic Gray Archival Ink on a strip of Very Vanilla.  I snipped a banner end with my Paper Snips, edged it with my Pink Pirouette Stampin’ Write Marker, then I adhered it with Liquid Glue.  And that was it for the card front!

On the inside, I added the absolutely adorable branch from Friendship’s Sweetest Thoughts in Basic Gray on a Very Vanilla panel.  Y’all – this is my newest favorite image!  It’s just ridiculously perfect!  I used my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig to add the bird.  Then I colored the flowers and heart in Pink Pirouette and the bird in Pool Party.

I Fast Fuse’d the panel to a Pink Pirouette mat and into my Thick Very Vanilla card base and the card was done!

I repeated the branch and bird image on the front of my Very Vanilla Medium Envelope…

…and I embossed the envelope flap in the Petal Pair TIEF.

Et Voila!  This is such a great stamp set, you guys!  The art work is just perfect and the fonts in the so-lovely sentiments are gorgeous.  Get.  This.  Set!!  Hope you like!
