Stampin’ Up! Happy New Year and…a Little Blog Candy!

Well – Happy 2018, y’all!!  I hope you got to party or sleep – whichever is your preference! – last night and that 2018 came in like a lamb for you!

I did my usual.  Went to bed.  Woke up to let the Man out around 1.  Went back to bed.  You know.  Exciting New Year’s Eve stuff.  🙂

I thought it would be fun to usher in the new year with some Blog Candy!  What do you think?

Now.  Just to manage expectations.  I spent a bit of time across the weekend going thru my…mess.  The mess I call my stamping area. And re-arranging!  Oh – and buying a new storage cabinet and ribbon shelf from StampNStorage (now just have to figure out where to put them when they arrive!).  I might have annexed a little more living room…but it looks a lot better!

I moved all the stamps to the table to the left of the screen.

I digress.  What I was meaning to say is that there’s no real rhyme or reason to my blog candy today.

Do you mind that there’s no theme?? Hope not.

So – I’m celebrating three things today, so there’s three Blog Candy Packages up for grabs!

First – I’m celebrating the arrival of 2018 with all my friends and family safe and healthy and happy!  And…here’s Package #1:  A Cottage Greetings Project Kit and Cottage Greetings stamp set, a bunch of Stampin’ Spots in all sorts of colors, and a slew of cards and card fronts for you to use/embellish/finish!

The second thing I’m celebrating is that I’m within a hair’s breadth of reaching one of the intermediate goals in my weigh-loss journey.  I was hoping I’d hit that goal for 2018 – but…I’m close enough to celebrate!  So…package #2 is…Finely Woven Ribbon in the 2017-2019 In Colors, the current SAB Happy Wishes stamp set, some 2017-2019 In Color Bitty Bows Embellishments, and a pack of 2016-2018 Glitter Acrylic Shapes.

Finally…I’m celebrating the growth of my business this year!  And – I mean growth in sales…growth in my team…and growth in the number of wonderful people I’ve “met” in the course of the year.  All thanks to this wonderful hobby of ours!  Thank you ALL!  So, Package #3 is…a horrible picture (sorry!)…but it’s a Pretty Pocket Card Kit, the SAB stamp sets Amazing You and Lots of Lavender, a 2016-2018 In Color Glitter Acrylic Shapes, and a pack of Touches of Nature Elements.

Okay – now.

How to win?

Leave me a comment ON THIS BLOG POST!  Have you made any resolutions for 2018?  Are you going to craft more?  Take more time to be creative? What’s on your radar for this year?

Thanks, Mary, for the chance to win… it would be nice if 2018 started off with me winning something as I never win anything …. I am hoping to get better organized this year in my craft room… I have to work as health permits, so it may be an all year thing! I am happy that the latter part of 2017 added you as a friend, I love watching you create and enjoy your dry sense of humor.. I pray 2018 will cover you with many blessings!!!!

  2. Dayle Schenk

My resolution this year is to start sending more of the cards I make or make gift sets of them. Thanks for the opportunity to win such great blog candy!

  3. Karen

Hi Mary, one of my resolutions for the year is be a bit more organized! It definitely helps me to be more creative. 😉 Thanks for the chance to win this awesome blog candy!

  4. Lynn Coates

I am going to try and keep my craft room more organized and catch up on my scrapbooking. Happy New Year!

  5. Karen A.

Hey Mary. I’m definitely in the clean craft space group. But, I’m also going to declutter the clothes closets…yes closets.
I’ve got a thankful jar from last year that I’m going to actually use this year by stamping tags and writing all the things I’m thankful for.
I also want to send out more cards in a timely manner.

    • I’m right there with you. I only got one closet done. And I have too many more to do!! 🙁 Good luck with your cleaning and organizing goals, Karen!! And I love the idea of the gratitude jar! Tanks so much! 🙂

  6. Ellie Peckler

Mary, I am going to use my SU supplies to decorate a Gratitude journal and write down five things I am grateful for each day. Best wishes for a great 2018! – Ellie

  7. Susan Tipton

I plan to reorganize my craft space to make it easier to use all of the amazing Stampin Up products I have acquired. And I am going to take more time to create and enjoy what I have. I would be elated if I were to win one of your give away bundles as I have never won anything . And as any crafter knows, you cannot have too many supplies. Thank you for the opportunity to win. Happy New Year.

    • Good luck in that endeavor, Susan! “Too many supplies”?!? I know not of this “too many supplies” of which you speak! LOL! Thanks so much and good luck in the draw! 🙂

  8. Debbie

I would like to wish you a very Happy New Year. Although I am new to your page, you have been extra special in sharing information with me, providing catalogs and responding to my emails. It truly is nice to meet such a friendly and inspiring individual. Thank you!

    • I’m very glad that you found me, Debbie – and thank you so much for the very kind words!! You’re sweet! Good luck in the draw! 🙂

  9. Carol Swedlund

I’m so glad that I ran across you and your beautiful cards on – a challenge blog, don’t remember now which one. I must admit to using mostly CTMH supplies (I’m in a local stamp club with great people) but since I rediscovered SU! through you I’m enjoying meshing supplies from both companies! This year I am going to do my best to FINISH a project (whether it’s making a card, doing genealogy etc.) and put everything away before starting the next project. I’m so tired of digging for my scissors or glue dots under a large pile of supplies! Thank you for this opportunity to win such great blog candy!

    • I’m glad you found me, too, Carol! And it’s cool that you’re combining products – great to be able to access different goodies to feed your creative process! And yes – digging for a tool that I “just put down right…there…now where the heck is it?!?” is exhausting. And I do it ad nauseam! Thanks so much, Carol – and good luck in the draw! 🙂

  10. Karen L.

Well, my plan for 2018 is to clear out some of my “stuff” so life is not so cluttered. Hard for a “pack rat” to do but, I am working on it!! I also want to send out more cards to just anyone who is celebrating something, or for encouragement or whatever. I make LOTS of cards & need to share them with other people…..card making is my form of therapy…….I love it & the day flies when I am in my craft room. I also pray for a more peaceful world everywhere. Happy 2018 to you & best of luck on meeting your goals for the new year. Thanks for a great blog & a chance to win a great gift for the New Year.

    • I’ve got a little pack rat in me, too, Karen – and my hubby…well. ‘Nuff said! Good luck with your goals to SEND all those cards you’ve made!! Your friends and family will love them!! Thanks so much and good luck in the draw! 🙂

  11. Annette Rodrigues

Aloha Mary, THANK YOU SO MUCH for the opportunity to win sum wonderful blog candy. I feel confident that you’ll reach your weight loss goal real soon!!. I do Weight Watchers myself and that program has helped me much this year and I know will do so in 2018 as well. I want to find more time to create more cards to share with my family and friends. I love Stampin Up products!!

    • Congrats on your weight loss, Annette! It’s hard work no matter how you go about it, isn’t it? I hope you get that extra time for cardmaking in 2018 – and good luck in the draw! 🙂

  12. Jessie Knight

I am also going to have a big clear out after the Epiphany. What a thought but needs must as they say. Have a great 2018 and God Bless. Jessie

    • Yep – it was a chore – but feels so much better in my closet! I can actually…FIND…things! Gasp! Thanks much, Jessie -Happy New Year! 🙂

  13. Dianne Roush

    Mary
Thanks for sharing your wonderful cards with us. Your videos have been so helpful to me. I’m hoping to be more organized this year and send more cards instead of just storing them in a box. Happy New Year, Dianne

    • Thank you for the so-kind words, Dianne!! I really appreciate them! More organized – I do believe that’s been the clear favorite goal for us crafters in 2018!! Good luck with it, Dianne – and good luck in the draw! 🙂

  14. Vicky Blackwell

I hope 2018 will be the year I get my scrapbook room in order and actually send the cards i make! I love your blog and really enjoy your projects you share. Thanks for the chance to win some amazing blog candy.

  15. Kathy L

I saw a funny resolution that I should follow: make a card from every example I save on Pinterest! That would keep me busy and out of trouble for the next year or so. LOL! I think you lead the pack among my saves. And thanks for that, truly.

    • Oh my gosh! We’d never do anything else! 😳😳😳 And I’m tickled that you like my cards enough to pin them – thank you so much, Kathy!! 🙂

  16. Karren Olaveson

    Hi Mary,
I am so glad to see that I am not the only one who needs to get more organized. That is my number one priority. My stamp place is such a disaster. I wish to thank you for your help to me. You have been such a wonderful friend. Your cards and videos are so well done and helpful. I hope to surpass the number of cards I donated to charity this past year. Thank you for the opportunity to win lovely items to create with. Good luck to all who enter. Happy New Year and thanks again.

    • Nope – you were not alone on that one, my friend!! Thank you so very much for the kind words, Karren! And thank you for donating your beautiful cards to charity!! That’s really good of you! Good luck in the draw! 🙂

  17. Pat Christ

I have two resolutions for 2018 that go hand-in-hand: stop procrastinating and organize, organize, organize! You don’t even want to know what my craft room looks like now. 🤨
Happy New Year, Mary! And New Year hugs for Mr. Finn. 😍

    • Oh – those are two tough things when they’re working together! Good luck with those resolutions, Pat! And I’ll pass the hugs to the Man! Thanks so much! 🙂

  18. Laurie

Mary, your stampnstorage units look great on your table. I would love to redo my craft area to incorporate some of their fantastic units. Are you part of their affiliate shopper network – do you get a kickback if someone buys and mentions they are buying because of you?
Congratulations on your weight loss accomplishment. It’s a continual struggle for me, being a stress eater. My weight goes up and down almost regularly! It’s one of my resolutions to deal with stress better this year.
Crafty resolution: to learn to use stencils and texture paste. 🙂
Fantastic giveaways! Congrats on your stampin up success. Wish you all the best in the new year!

    • Hi Laurie – thank you so much! I’ve personally always wanted to be “That” person who…is “just so stressed I can’t eat a thing”. Sadly, I am the direct opposite. I TOTALLY eat my feelings! Trying to use cardmaking as my de-stressor!! Good luck with your resolutions – crafts and stress! As for StampNStorage – yes. I love them and I AM an affiliate. I have a link on the sidebar of my blog page – if you click it and order thru that way, I’ll get a little kickback. Appreciate you asking! I know you’ll love how they help get all our “tools” organized!! Good luck in the draw! 🙂

  19. Donna Wright

Thanks Mary for offering these great prizes. As a fellow (hobby) demonstrator I find your blog to be quite inspiring. Papercrafting is my “therapy” for lifes struggles. I have my daily quiet time with the Lord and then whatever is on my mind, i seem to be able to release through this amazing gift! Just wish I had more time to make more cards.
My husband and I have been graced with the custody of our 2 year old great grandaughter , so you can imagine the “therapy” that is needed. LOL! She already shares my love for crafting so my goal this year is to make more “happy” cards and show her at an early age how to reveal and release her creativity. Maybe this way we can bypass “worry, stress and turmoil” as much as possible. I thank you so much for being a mentor to me as I have begun this journey. Stampinup is such a great company and I am so glad to be a part of it. God Bless you in the year ahead and keep up the FINN pics and adventures.

    • Donna – thanks so much for the kind words. It means a lot to me that you find inspiration in my cards – and my rambling blog posts!! LOL! Best of luck raising your budding crafter!! And good luck in the drawing! 🙂

  20. Pam Droll

Thank you for sharing your creativity with all of us. I enjoy everything about your blog: your stamping AND your humor. I no longer make New Year’s resolutions–I wasn’t keeping them and I didn’t need the guilt! I always hope to stamp more–that’s just a given. Blessings to you in 2018.

    • Thanks so much, Pam – that’s very nice of you to say! And I have trouble keeping resolutions, too! Wishing us both the best in 2018! 🙂

  21. Mary Babet

Well it seems you have started off your new year right with your weight loss and organized craft Area! Congratulations on both. One of my new year goals is to rid of all the clutter in my craft ate and to organize it. Second, I want to make the time to create more cards so I am able to send them out in a timely manner. I so enjoy your beautiful creations and your stories of Finn! Thank you for all that you share.

    • I’m sure trying, Mary! Thank you! I wish you luck with your goals – and the de-clutter/organize one is huge! Best of luck in the drawing! 🙂

  22. Becky Kalous

My goal is to make more “me” time and do things that make me happy. I am looking forward to learning card making techniques and sending my creations to those who may need a little smile in their day.

    • Good goals, Becky – ones we should all make! Enjoy the card-making journey. It’s awfully fun. Good luck in the draw! 🙂

  23. Janice M

Happy New Year! I really need to spend more time in my craft area organizing (with the help of the wonderful Stamp n Storage products!) and simply creating. Your blog posts provide wonderful inspiration! How in the world do you clear out the Stampin Up products you no longer use? One goal for this year is to “de-clutter” to make room for the new products/ideas. Thank you for the chance to win blog candy! All the best to you for 2018!

    • LOL – excellent question! I pull them all out and then TRY to get them posted to sell! I donate paper and embellishments to a couple of worthy causes that are creating cards for Soldiers and other folks. It’s hard – but….got to have room for new goodies! I just ordered the drawer cabinet from StampNStorage – can’t wait for it to arrive! Good luck with your organizing! 🙂

  24. Judi

Happy New Year, Mary! I’m so happy that I found you this year. I enjoy joining you live on Sundays whenever possible. I have to admit that I’m in love with your dog! Sometimes I scroll to the end of your email for my Finn Fan Fix before I read about your latest creation. My goal for this year is to destash in all areas of my house and get my stamping supplies better organized so I can easily see what I have. I also want to get better about having more cards made ahead of time. I wish you the best in 2018!

    • Thanks so much, Judi! I’m so glad that you found me (and Finn!). I think a lot of folks read the FFF first! LOL! Good luck getting your cards done ahead of time in 2018!! 🙂
