Stampin’ Up! Perennial Birthday Project Kit Sneak Peek

Happy Hawwwpmp Day, y’all!  I’m sort of losing track of the days this week – it always throws me when Monday is the Holiday.  You?

So – as we approach the time of Resolutions…what resolutions are you planning to make?

Lose wieght?  Yea – on my list.  Still.

Get healthier?  Sure – assuming I can find a way to do that without exercising.  Or eradicating chocolate from my diet!

Get organized?  Yes.  Absolutely.  Positively.  Always always on my list.

Well – my project today is something that will help you (and me!) do just that!  It’s the Perennial Birthday Project Kit in the 2018 Occasions Catalog!  And it’s easy to make and includes a handy card box – with decorated dividers all ready!  Take a look-see:

This is a Project Kit – not an All-Inclusive kit – so you’ll need to purchase the Perennial Birthday stamp set and have adhesive (Glue Dots and Stampin’ Dimensionals), and some inks – Dapper Denim, Flirty Flamingo and Old Olive.  And – I did some extra decorating on the inside and the envelopes – so to make the ones you’re fixin’ to see, you’ll also need a Stampin’ Write Marker in the same colors.  Plus your Fresh Fig Marker!

When you open up the beautiful box, you’ll find 16 card bases and Whisper White Envelopes, die cuts with flowers in Flirty Flamingo, Dapper Denim and Old Olive, die cut balloons, banners….and “month” stickers to label your dividers.  They come in English, French and German!  I used English.

Seemed like the right way to go!

Each divider has lines to write birthdays you need to remember for each month!

The kit makes 4 each of 4 designs…and there are envelopes, too.  These pictures show what the kit makes just as it comes.

I used some more of the stamps in the Perennial Birthday stamp set to add a sentiment on the inside – I used the same one on all the cards – just changing whether I stamped it in Dapper Denim or Old Olive.  And I also added some flowers or other decorations.  For this one, I used the Marker-to-Stamp technique to color the little flower in Flirty Flamingo and Old Olive.

I used that technique on the inside of this card and envelope, too.  This time I also used the Fresh Fig Stampin’ Write Marker!

These next two were quick stamps on the inside and envelope.

Hint – you’ll probably want your Stamp-A-Ma-Jig to get all the sentiments and flowers and leaves where you want them!  Just sayin’!

So – if one of your resolutions is to get organized – or even if it isn’t! – this is a wonderful and lovely tool to help you!  There’s plenty of room in the box for the project cards plus more to help you be on time for all your birthday card needs in 2018 – and beyond! Hope you like and will consider adding the Perennial Birthday Project Kit and matching Perennial Birthday stamp set to your 2018 Occasions Catalog wish list! 🙂

Finn Fan Fix

Yesterday morning I took a picture of Finn.

Yea.  Shocker.

But it reminded me of a similar photo I took just over a year ago.

Remember this one?  It’s from November of last year.  About a month after we brought him home.

He had to sort of reach over into the bowl to reach it.

Fast forward to yesterday.

They grow up so fast. 🙂

  1. Oh, that kit is so pretty! I have a bunch of birthdays over the coming months…guess that I need to get going on putting my kit together! 🙂

  2. Yes, get organized and stay organized, for me! I’m with you on the lose weight and eat healthier. My downfall is not chocolate, but grapes that are bottled 🙂 My other resolution is to USE the stamp sets I buy!! AND stop saving so many scraps!!

    • Yes yes yes! Stop saving so many scraps! I am a little ridiculous about that… so I’m on board! I have no problem with bottled grapes – it all kind of tastes like cough syrup to me… Sorry! 🙁 Thanks, Karen! 🙂

  3. Kate

    Lovely box and contents.
They do indeed grow up fast.

  4. Resolutions? HA! Never kept any that I made, so I quit making them. I do PLAN to clean out the garage and basement though. When. it. warms. up! -9 this morning.
And if I was going to make a resolution, it would be to send MORE cards. That I make, of course. I have sent more this past year than I have for years, but still missed some things.
Didn’t think I wanted that kit, but, after seeing what you did, maybe.

    • It’s a good kit – you should have it in your arsenal! Hope it warmed up enough for you to do the things you wanted to get done!! Thanks much, Julie! 🙂

  5. Susan K

Oh, that’s cute and looks like it would add to the birthday card stash quickly. Or make a nice present once it’s completed! TFS. Good flashback on Finn–all our kids grow up too quickly!

    • Thanks, Susan – it is and it does! And yes, it would be great as a completed gift!! Yea – he’s a big boy now. Just ask him! 🙂

  6. Elisha

This is a great kit! I ordered one along with the stamp set – divided the pieces and parts into 16 kits – when my ladies came for my Christmas open house, they each got two kits to stamp and assemble. I put their names in a hat and drew one name – the winner got the box/dividers. I kept the stamp set😉 I too need to get on the organization bandwagon – but it’s gonna take more than a beautiful box to organize my stuff😆
Finn is so big!! And adorable as always! I showed a few of his pics to my daughters this last week – sitting in the hair dryer was their fave😂

    • LOL – sure wasn’t HIS favorite, I promise! But it was pretty cute, no doubt! Sounds like a wonderful evening – I sure wish I had folks near me who wanted to stamp!! Thanks much, Elisha! 🙂

  7. I have to say Tank You. My husband won’t let me have a dog. So, I live the dream with my Finn Fan Fix. Bet you didn’t see that coming? LOL!

    • I’m sorry your husband won’t let you have a dog….but glad that you’re enjoying “having” a dog with the FFF’s! Thanks! 🙂
