Stampin’ Up! Tags & Trimmings for the Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop!

Good mornin’, y’all – welcome to another edition of Amy’s Inkin’ Krew team blog hop!  Each month we make projects centered around a theme – and this month is Christmas or Happy Holidays!  We can interpret that any way we want – so…be sure to check and see everyone’s projects – we’ve got a bunch of talented ladies hopping with us this month!

I decided to make a treat holder using the fun Tags & Trimmings bundle.  Take a look-see:

This is such an easy little treat holder to make, y’all!  Hang on!

To start with, I cut the two main pieces of the stocking in the Trim Your Stocking Thinlit set in Powder Pink.  When you make this, you can cut a piece of card stock about 6″ x 6 3/4″ and both of the dies will fit on it and you’ll be able to get it thru the Big Shot!

I used the coordinating dies in the set to cut the top, heel and toe of the stocking from the pretty Year of Cheer Specialty DSP.  And some “pom-pom trim” from a scrap of Whisper White card stock.

I inked up the sentiment from the Tags & Trimmings stamp set in Versamark and stamped it on the front of the stocking.  Then I heat embossed it in Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder.

When you make one, add the decorations before you assemble the stocking.  I used Liquid Glue to add all the little pieces and parts.  I cut two of the large and lovely snowflakes from the Trim Your Stocking Thinlits – one each in Silver and Gold Foil.  I also stamped one of the little buttons – in Versamark – on a piece of scrap Powder Pink, heat embossed it in Silver and cut it with the matching die.  I piled them all up with Liquid Glue and added them at the top of the stocking.

To assemble the stocking, I used Tear & Tape Adhesive on the scored tabs (the dies do the scoring for you).  If you’d like a good tutorial on how to put this baby together, you can check out Amy Koender’s video right here!  I used silver Mini Tinsel Trim for the top “hangar”.

The final touch is a bow made with two lengths each of Silver and Gold Metallic Thread, adhered with a little scrunched up Glue Dot.

Et Voila!  This little Tags & Trimmings treat holder is just the perfect size for a taste of chocolate, a gift card or a nice folded show-me-the-money gift. Snap it up and decorate or gift-give with it!  Hope you like!
