Stampin’ Up! Musical Merry Carols for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Happy Thursday, y’all – and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! We’ve got a full roster playing with today’s color challenge, so be sure to check ’em all out when you get done here!

I love this color combination!

I started with some fun paper from the Merry Little Christmas DSP, then pulled a sentiment from the Musical Season stamp set and some elements from the Carols of Christmas and Card Front Builder Thinits.  Take a look-see:

I also used the sketch-side of this week’s Fusion challenge to help me with the layout.

Finally, I played along with Jaydee’s Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge at The Paper Players.  Went down the left side.  Although…down the diagonal works, too! 😉

So – as you can see, I started with a tree-strewn piece of paper from the Merry Little Christmas DSP.  Using the fun border/frame die from the Card Front Builder Thinlits, I cut the frame and matted it on a piece of Old Olive card stock (using Fast Fuse and some Liquid Glue in the corners).

I cut a tag from a piece of Whisper White, using my Scallop Top Punch.  With the little stars image from the Carols of Christmas stamp set, I stamped stars all over the tag in Versamark Ink, sprinkled them with Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heated them up!  I edged the whole tag with my Old Olive Stampin’ Write Marker.

I ran a length of Basic Black 3/8″ Shimmer Ribbon thru the top of the tag and tied it together with a piece of silver Mini Tinsel Trim.  Than I popped the whole thing onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

My sentiment, from the Musical Season stamp set, is heat embossed in Silver on a strip of Whisper White.  Then I snipped banner ends and edged it with my Old Olive Stampin’ Write Marker.  I added it with Liquid Glue and a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional under each end.

I cut two sets of trees with the die in the Card Front Builder Thinlits – one from a piece of Merry Little Christmas DSP and one from Silver Foil.  I adhered them together with Liquid Glue and then to the card front with Liquid Glue and Mini Dimensionals.

I added a silver star Metallic Enamel Shape to the top of each tree and the card front was done!

On the inside, I cut another Card Front Builder Thinlits frame from a piece of Whisper White card stock.

I Fast Fuse’d the panel (also using a little Liquid Glue in the corners) to an Old Olive mat and into my Basic Black card base, popped the card front on with  Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more Carols of Christmas Silver heat-embossed stars on the front…I might have gone a little crazy cuz I like them – feel free to stop WAAY earlier if you want…

…and I added some more of the Merry Little Christmas DSP to the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I hadn’t used the pretty Carols of Christmas stamp set and Card Front Builder Thinlits in a while – forgot how pretty and fun it is!  And, of course, the Musical Season sentiment is simple and simply perfect.  Hope you like!
