Stampin’ Up! This Little Piggy Video Sneak Peek

‘Sup, y’all!?  Hope you’re enjoying your weekend.  If you’ve been battling with Harvey, know that you’re all in my prayers.  Stay safe.

I know you know that this Sunday morning post is typically a sneak peek of the card we’ll do tonight on my Facebook Live video!

And today is no exception.  I feel pretty confident that you can figure out what stamp set we’ll be using – if the title of the post didn’t give it away.  This Little Piggy is just too cute – and the card we’re going to do is headed to a friend of mine’s daughter.  Who loves pigs.  And has also been thru the wringer these past few days, weeks and months.  I hope this card will bring her a smile!  Take a look-see:

Finn-Fan Fix

Do you like turnips?

We like turnip greens with some turnip in them.

We probably won’t ever be found eating straight up turnips.

It’s just not something we’d do.

If you’re a mashed turnip lover…I’m sorry.  To each his own, I suppose.

We grew a bed’s worth of turnips – and harvested them on Saturday morning.  To start the cleaning process, we dumped them all in an old trough and filled it with water.

Well.  Finn thought that was the bomb.

Or the…bob.

As in bobbing for turnips….

When we found a bad turnip – we’d pull the greens off and toss the turnip.

Which he promptly chased and brought back.  Kinda defeating the purpose, heh??

  1. Ooh, I can’t wait for that little piggy to cry wee wee wee into my home. Of course, Finn provided my morning chuckle too.

  2. You are such a tease! Can’t wait to see the finished card tonight.

Looking forward to your take on the piggy image!! Finn sure knows how to entertain himself (and his parents, too)!! Love to hear more about how you cook, season and serve those turnips and greens!! Yum!

    • They’re really easy…clean them well, cut the turnips into small bites (cuz we like them little), stuff them all in the crock pot – this batch was well over the top of the crock. I pour in a carton of low/no sodium chicken broth/stock. Add a chopped onion and 3 – 4 strips of bacon chopped (sometimes I cook the bacon a bit and then pour it all – grease and all – into the crock). Cook all day on low. As they cook down, they’ll reduce in size. We eat them as a main course with some cornbread! Hope to see you tonight, Rita! 🙂

Sounds great and also healthy …. all those vitamins and minerals from the greens!! I’m not on Facebook, so I’ll catch your “piggy” video later.

      • They are indeed tasty!! I’ll post the video in the morning – enjoy! 🙂

  5. I hope I can join you tonight. Will be working my first shift for Kiwanis at the Old Threshers Reunion camground gate from 4-12. Taking my laptop, so hope there is a lull in the action and I can tune in.
