Stampin’ Up! Embossed Eclectic Banners for You

Happy Monday, y’all!  I think this will be my last Monday post from Florida!  And – I won’t lie.  I’m really ready to go home.  Want to see my husband and Finn and the panthers and ponies.  Ready to play in the veggie garden.  🙂

If you were able to join my Facebook Live video last nice – thank you so much.  If not, here’s a link to the video on You Tube – enjoy!

I had a good time playing with the new Embossing Paste and the Naturally Eclectic bundle of goodies.  Along with a little bit of Banners for You.  Take a look-see:

As I said yesterday, I played across the middle on this week’s Stamp Ink Paper Tic-Tac-Toe challenge.

The layout itself was inspired by the sketch challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments.

I used some pretty green paper from the Naturally Eclectic DSP for the card base, and did a little embossing on it with the new Embossing Paste.  My “stencil” was made by cutting the geometric die in the Eclectic Layers Thinlits from a piece of Thick Card Stock.

I also made a couple of “stencils” by die cutting the flower from Eclectic Layers and embossing them on Thick Whisper White card stock.  I used some Powder Pink Ink Refill to color one batch of Embossing Paste and Lemon Lime Twist ink refill for the other.  I embossed a Powder Pink and Lemon Lime Twist flower on the middle Whisper White panel, then matted it on a piece of Powder Pink card stock.

I used a little Liquid Glue to run a length of Lemon Lime Twist 1/2″ Finely Woven Ribbon across the card front, then popped my art panel over that with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I embossed another Eclectic Layers flower with Powder Pink-colored embossing paste on a scrap of Thick Whisper White card stock.  When it was dry, I cut it out with the appropriate die and then adhered it with Liquid Glue.

I ran another piece of ribbon across the whole panel – this time Powder Pink 3/8″ Shimmer Ribbon – with some Fast Fuse and a Stampin’ Dimensional under the left end. My sentiment is from the Banners For You stamp set – I stamped the border image in Lemon Lime Twist and added the sentiment in Emerald Envy.  Then I cut it out with the matching die in the Bunch of Banners Framelits. and popped it over the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On the inside, I stamped a few flowers from Oh So Eclectic in Powder Pink and Lemon-Lime Twist.  For both “fill” images, I stamped them off once on a piece of scrap before stamping the Whisper White panel.

I matted the panel on Powder Pink and added it to my Thick Whisper White card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more Oh So Eclectic flowers on the front…

…and then added more of the Naturally Eclectic DSP to the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  There are so many things to do with this new Embossing Paste – and I love that we can color it with our ink refills, don’t you?  And I really love the entire Naturally Eclectic Suite.  Hope you like!

  1. You have the ability to make me want everything! BUT, I must resist. Too bad you didn’t do emboss resist (in Mary speak, see what I did there?) In any event, your videos and cards bring me much joy, as you well know. I will be getting the embossing paste for sure! and maybe the dies 🙂

    • LOLOL!! Yes – I DO see what you did there!! 🙂 Glad you’re enjoying the videos and cards, Karen! And you’re going to love the Embossing Paste! 🙂

Thanks so much for using the paste last night. We were having a thunderstorm roll through (our 4 p.m. showers at 8) and my sound kept cutting in and out, so glad for the video to re-watch it…and I’ll watch it again when my paste arrives! Pretty card, the paste adds so much dimension to it. Loved the “chatter” too.😉

    • Thanks, Susan! Thunderstorms just won’t cooperate with our schedules, will they? Hope when you watch the video that it gives you what you need! 😊

  4. Love the tutorial for the embossing paste! Very pretty card, Mary!

  5. I enjoyed the video, late, very late. I love your card. The embossing paste came just before I left and I haven’t used it yet. Looks like a challenge.

    • Glad you got to see it and that you liked the card! The paste is actually pretty easy to use! Can’t wait to see what you make with it. 🙂
