Stampin’ Up! Friendly Orange Blossoms for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Happy Thursday, y’all – and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!  It’s sketch week so be sure to hop thru all our blogs when you get done here and see how we all interpreted the challenge! 🙂

Speaking of – here it is:

I also played along with the Sunday Stamps color challenge…

We were to use at least 3 of the colors.  I think, using the Orange Blossom stamp set and a little bit of Wood Textures DSP that I did that.  And maybe a few more!  Take a look-see:

I started with a panel of Whisper White card stock and stamped a bunch of the pretty images from the new Orange Blossom stamp set all over it.  I used Flirty Flamingo for the large flowers – stamping it twice without re-inking.  I also used Pear Pizzazz, So Saffron, Peekaboo Peach and Sweet Sugarplum.  Once I had it stamped all over, I matted it on Sweet Sugarplum card stock.

My banner started with a piece of Sweet Sugarplum for the mat.  I used Paper Snips to make a banner end.  Then I cut a smaller piece of Wood Textures DSP and cut the banner ends in it, too.

Using a die from the Sweet & Sassy Framelits, I cut a heart in the Wood Textures DSP banner.

The sentiment is from the Orange Blossoms stamp set.  I inked just the word “Hey” in Sweet Sugarplum ink and stamped it on a scrap piece of Whisper White.  That piece of card stock got adhered to the Sweet Sugarplum banner so that the sentiment would show in the top of the heart cut out.

I used Stampin’ Dimensionals – regular and mini! – to pop the Wood Textures banner over the Sweet Sugarplum banner (making sure my “hey” showed!).  Then I used Liquid Glue to adhere the whole thing to the card front.

My banner sentiment is another word from the Orange Blossom stamp set, stamped in Flirty Flamingo on a  strip of Whisper White.  I cut a banner end with my Paper Snips, edged it with my Sweet Sugarplum Stampin’ Write Marker and then used Liquid Glue and a Stampin’ Dimensional to add it over the banners.

To finish it off, I took a large heart from the new Hearts & Stars Elements and colored the stripes with my Peekaboo Peach Marker.  I decided I wasn’t happy with that, so I went over the stripes again with my Flirty Flamingo marker.  I adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.  Finally, I added a bow from a piece of Peekaboo Peach 5/8″ Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon using a Glue Dot.

On the inside, I added some more of the Orange Blossom flowers in the corner of a Whisper White panel.  I stamped a Flirty Flamingo flower on a piece of Whisper White, fussy cut it and adhered it with Liquid Glue over the top.  And I added another little wooden heart that I’d colored in Peekaboo Peach.

I SNAILd the panel to a Sweet Sugarplum mat and into a Thick Whisper White card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more Orange Blossom flowers on the front (I made a sticky note mask for the large flower to do these)….

…and even more on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Isn’t this a pretty little stamp set with more beautiful flowers?  I love the different images you can create – my favorite is the little yellow buds on the green stem.  I hope you like – and know you’re going to want this one in your toolbox!
