Happy Thursday, y’all – and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!  We’ve got a sketch for you today- and I’m thinkin’ you’re going to see some Sneak Peeks of the new 2017-2018 Annual Catalog.  Hope you’ll spend a little time checking out all our projects today!

Here’s the sketch we all worked with…

When I first saw the new Delightful Daisy Suite in the new catalog – I was tickled to death!  I’ve been waiting for a flower like this for a while!  And then – I saw the Delightful Daisy DSP.  And I was in love.  It’s just so danged pretty!  Each design is better than the last – and I’m thrilled this one will be around for a whole year!! 🙂

I used this new paper along with the Daisy Delight stamp set and matching Daisy Punch to make a pretty cottage-garden thank you card.  Take a look-see:

Along with our sketch, I played along with the pretty picture in the Card Concept challenge this week.

I started with a piece of the beautiful paper in Delightful Daisy – running just the bottom portion of the paper thru the Big Shot in the Fluttering TIEF.  Then I matted the panel on Calypso Coral.

Next up – a length of 1/4″ Double Stitched Ribbon in Daffodil Delight (available on 1 June in the new catalog – along with Cherry Cobbler and Blushing Bride!) – doubled and adhered with a few dabs of Liquid Glue.

For my sentiment panel, I used a piece of Whisper White and stamped myself a little “cottage garden” with the images in the Daisy Delight stamp set.  There are two kinds of stems – all stamped in stamped-off-once Tranquil Tide (1 June).  Then I added some Wisteria Wonder, Daffodil Delight and Calypso Coral flowers.  This is a photo-polymer set, so it’s easy to line everything up.

The sentiment is stamped in Tranquil Tide at full strength.  Then I SNAILd it to a piece of Calypso Coral card stock and popped it on the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

My daisy is made by stamping two of the flower images from Daisy Delight in Daffodil Delight on Whisper White.  Here’s a tip – when you stamp these, make one “petal” go straight down – like the hands of a clock at 6 o’clock.  That makes it easy peasy to use the matching Daisy Punch! 🙂

After punching them both out, I lightly curled some of the petals and adhered them together with a little Liquid Glue.  Then I used an Aqua Painter to brush some more Daffodil Delight on the center and part way out the petals.

I adhered my flower to the sentiment panel and added a new Clear Faceted Gem (1 June).

I cut three Bitty Butterfly punches (retiring!) from a piece of the Delightful Daisy DSP and adhered them.  The flutterby on the flower is popped on with a Dimensional.  I added three little Pearl Basic Jewel Embellishments to the butterflies and the card was done!

On the inside, I added another pretty sentiment from Daisy Delight in Tranquil Tide to a Whisper White panel.  Then I added some more flowers in Tranquil Tide, Wisteria Wonder and Daffodil Delight.

I SNAILd the panel to a Calypso Coral mat and into my Whisper White card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got another Daisy Delight garden on the front…

…and then I added a little more of the Delightful Daisy DSP to the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Okay, folks, it’s official.  This is hands-down my favorite suite in the new catalog!  I love everything about it – and I know when you get your hands on it, you’re going to love it, too!!  Soon, people, very soon! 🙂
