Stampin’ Up! Ribbon of Courage Sneak Peek for the Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop!

Mornin’, y’all!  Welcome to another edition of the Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop!  This month, our theme is “feminine” – which sort of leaves it wide open, doesn’t it?  I’m looking forward to seeing what all our talented ladies come up with – and hope you’ll spend some time exploring the hop when you’re done here!

I decided to use one of the stamp sets we got for free this past weekend at OnStage!  It’s called Ribbon of Courage and it’s an absolutely stunning stamp set.  Take a look-see:

I played along with the Mojo Monday challenge this week:

Now – this stamp set is part of a bundle in the new catalog:

I picked Pinks and Yellows for the color scheme of my card and Ribbon – yellow for veterans and pink for women.  Seemed like a fittin’ choice for me! 😉

I started with a piece of Whisper White card stock, and I stamped all over the top portion, in Basic Black Archival Ink, and covered the panel with the small hearts in the Ribbon of Courage set.  I colored each heart with my Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzazz and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Write Markers.  Then I SNAILd the panel to a Blushing Bride mat.

The smaller middle panel is a piece of Daffodil Delight paper from the Brights DSP Stack, matted on Blushing Bride and SNAILd to the card front.

Then I wrapped a piece of Blushing Bride 3/8″ Stitched Satin Ribbon around the card front, securing it in the back with scotch tape.

For the sentiment, I used my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig to align the sentiment from Ribbon of Courage and stamped it in Basic Black Archival Ink.  I matted it on Blushing Bride and popped it onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Next I stamped the beautiful large and detailed ribbon in Basic Black Archival Ink on Whisper White and fussy cut it – there’s a matching die set called the Support Ribbon Framelits, but I don’t have it.  Yet! 😉

I colored the large ribbon in Blushing Bride, Pink Pirouette, So Saffron, Daffodil Delight and Pear Pizzazz, then I used a few Stampin’ Dimensionals and Liquid Glue to adhere the ribbon to the sentiment panel and the card front was done!

On the inside, I added a second Ribbon of Courage sentiment in Basic Black Archival Ink to the middle of a Whisper White panel.  Then I added the larger heart and a few small hearts – and colored them with my Stampin’ Write Markers.

I SNAILd the panel to a Blushing Bride mat and into my Daffodil Delight card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

I added more Ribbon of Courage hearts in Basic Black Archival Ink to the front of my Whisper White Medium Envelope, coloring it in the same way I did the hearts on the inside of the card…

…and I added a little more Daffodil Delight paper from the Brights DSP Stack to the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I absolutely love the beautiful designs inside the hearts and the ribbon in this Ribbon of Courage set, and the fonts are gorgeous also!  I hope you like – and will be putting this pretty set on your 2017-2018 Annual Catalog wish list! 🙂
