Happy Thursday, y’all – and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!  If you’ve been following along, you’ll know that this is color week so our designs will be all over the place!  Which is a good thing and means the hop will be a lot of fun!  Hope you’ll spend a little time checking out all our projects today!

Here’s the colors we worked with:

I played along with the TGIF Challenge this week…

…and chose to CASE Charlet’s card:

And this one also played nicely with The Paper Players challenge!

I started with a piece of Whisper White card stock.  Using the Easter Egg images in the Basket Bunch stamp set, I stamped them all over the card – making sure to “recreate” the way the Falling Petals TIEF looked on Charlet’s card.  I made a bunch of little sticky note masks of the eggs, masking various images in order to create some depth!

I used both Mint Macaron and Calypso Coral to stamp the eggs, then I used the Stampin’ Write Markers to “decorate my Easter Eggs”!  Once they were all colored, I SNAILd the panel to a Calypso Coral mat.

For the art, I started by cutting two “wreaths” with the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits from Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper and adhered them to the panel with Liquid Glue.

I stamped three Easter Bunnies in Basic Black Archival Ink on Whisper White card stock and cut them all out with the matching die in the Basket Builder Framelits.  I colored their little bow ties with Mint Macaron and Calypso Coral markers, and then used the Blender Pen to color in their ears with Calypso Coral.  I adhered two directly to the Swirly Scribbles wreaths and then popped the third over the top with a Stampin’ Dimensional.

The grass is cut (twice!) with the die in the Basket Builder Thinlits from Mint Macaron card stock, then I adhered them together with a Stampin’ Dimensional between them and then I stuck this over the bunnies with Liquid Glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped and colored more eggs from the Basket Bunch Stamp Set and then fussy cut them (they have dies in the Basket Builder Thinlits, but I didn’t want a white edge).  I rounded them lightly with a stylus and then used Liquid Glue to stick them in and amongst the grass.

The Basket Bunch sentiment is stamped in Calypso Coral on a strip of Whisper White and snipped into a banner.  I adhered it with a little Liquid Glue and then popped one more Easter Egg on the end with a Stampin’ Dimensional.  You can see in the picture above that I highlighted each egg with my White Gel Pen – I did that on the background eggs as well! 🙂

On the inside, I stamped a second sentiment from Basket Bunch in Calypso Coral on Whisper White.  Then I added Mint Macaron grass across the bottom.

I SNAILd the panel to a Calypso Coral mat and into my Whisper White card base, then SNAILd the card front on – and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more Mint Macaron Basket Bunch grass and a Basic Black Archival Ink bunny on the front…

… and I added more Basket Bunch eggs on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I think this one probably looks harder than it was – it’s a actually easy to put together and, if you like coloring Easter Eggs…this is your card!  Hope you like!

Anybody know what the egg cartons are? Foam? Cardboard?

    • I haven’t gotten them yet but they look like the thick/hard paper egg cartons you can get at the grocery store! 😊
