Stampin’ Up! Custom Tee Masculine Card!

We had a great time and made a couple of cute projects.  One of those uses the fun Custom Tee stamp set and matching T-shirt Builder Framelits.  It’s not always easy to make a card for a guy – but this one would surely fill the bill.  Take a look-see:

This one is quick and easy with the super cool dies in the framelits set.  To start off, we stamped the striped tie image a bunch of times in Smoky Slate ink on a Smoky Slate panel.  We totally just eyeballed it! 🙂  Then we matted the panel on Basic Gray.

The sentiment, from Custom Tee, is stamped in Basic Black Archival Ink on a piece of Basic Gray card stock, and SNAILd to the card front.  Instead of a traditional mat for the sentiment, we used some of the Delightful Dijon tape in the Urban Underground Designer Washi Tape pack, wrapped around the panel.

The focal art started with a Stitched Shapes circle cut from a piece of Very Vanilla card stock.  We stamped the large shirt image and the collar image in Delightful Dijon on a piece of Delightful Dijon card stock, and cut both pieces with their matching dies in the T-shirt Builder Framelits.  The tie is stamped in Smoky Slate on Very Vanilla.  We used a Blender Pen to color the stripes – I decided to alternate Smoky Slate and Delightful Dijon!

I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop the shirt onto the Stitched Shapes circle.  I used some Liquid Glue to adhere the top of the tie to the collar (I left the bottom sort of “flapping”.  Finally, I popped the collar piece on with a Stampin’ Dimensional.  Then I popped the whole thing onto the card front with more Dimensionals.

I had a lot of popping going on on this card! 🙂

The last little bit to do was add a star from the Urban Underground Embellishments…

On the inside, I ran two pieces of Urban Underground Specialty Washi Tape across a Very Vanilla panel.

I SNAILd the panel into a Basic Gray card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!  Note – this is an interesting color palette…tone-on-tone matting, where you use the same color mat as your card base.  This was new to me – and I like it!  I suspect I’ll be making some more cards like this in the future! 🙂

My Very Vanilla Envelope (you knew I’d do something with that, yes??) got another Smoky Slate Custom Tee tie on the front…

…and I added a piece of Delightful Dijon DSP from the 2015-2017 In Color DSP Stack to the envelope flap.

How many pictures can I take of this goofy dog?

Give or take.

I appear to be relatively obsessed with his little face.  Or his paws.  Or his pantaloons.  His lips – oh, his silly little lips that catch in his teeth when he’s not paying attention and doesn’t get everything lined up just right.

But, one of my faves is when he’s sleeping in the bathroom while I take a bath.

Cool on the tile.  But a soft pillow for his head.
