Good morning, y’all – welcome to another edition of the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!  We had a clean-and-simple sketch to work with this week – I hope that you’ll spend some time hopping thru all our blogs and check out everyone’s projects!

Here’s the sketch:

I used a new-to-me bundle from the Occasions catalog called That’s The Tag!  It’s got a beautiful stamp set of the same name and a matching die set called the Timeless Tags Thinlits.  I think it’s gorgeous and it’s what I used for this week’s project.  Take a look-see:

I also used a fun color challenge from Sunday Stamps for my color palette.

Now, I couldn’t really tell what that darkest color is – or the color next to it.  So…I picked Early Espresso, Blushing Bride, Calypso Coral and Smoky Slate.  With Whisper White as my neutral.

This card was really quick to make – even with the paper piecing in the tag.  Really!  It took me a minute to decide on the color scheme but once I did, it went together very quickly.

I started with a panel of Whisper White that I dry embossed in the Seaside TIEF and SNAILd to a Blushing Bride mat – with the de-bossed side up.

Over that is a strip of Smoky Slate paper from the Sale-A-Bration Carried Away DSP (you can get it free during Sale-A-Bration), also matted on Blushing Bride.

Next came my tag.  Using the die from the Timeless Tags Thinlits, I cut the image 4 times – one each in Early Espresso, Calypso Coral, Smoky Slate, and Whisper White.  I also cut a solid tag (also with a die from the same set) in Blushing Bride.

I took the entire cut-out image in Early Espresso and used Liquid Glue to adhere it to the Blushing Bride solid tag.  Then I “colored”!  I used the Calypso Coral pieces to fill in the flower, Smoky Slate for the leaves and stem, and a single piece of Whisper White for the center.  Just little dabs of Liquid Glue in each opening to hold each piece in place!

I’m ready for my close-up, Mr. DeMille…

I made my sentiment with a couple of images from the That’s The Tag stamp set.  I stamped the little flourish image in Blushing Bride and then added the sentiment itself in Smoky Slate.  Then I cut it out with the other detailed die in the Timeless Tags Thinlits.  Using my 1/8″ Handheld Circle Punch, I added a hole in the side to “hang” it from.

I ran a length of Calypso Coral Thick Baker’s Twine thru the hole in the top of the flower tag and then thru the sentiment tag.  Using a second length of the baker’s twine, I tied a bow around the first strands.

I popped the tag over the card front with some Stampin’ Dimensionals and then I used a little dab of Liquid Glue to adhere the sentiment banner at a jaunty angle – that would also allow for good viewing of the paper pieced flower.  And that was it for the card front.

On the inside, I stamped the pretty little flower image from Timeless Tags in Smoky Slate on a piece of Whisper White, then lightly colored the flower with my Blushing Bride and Smoky Slate Stampin’ Write Markers.

I SNAILd the panel to a Blushing Bride mat and into my Early Espresso card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got a repeat of the Timeless Tags flower image on the front…

…and I added a little more of the Carried Away DSP to the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  This is such a pretty little set – I love all the sentiments in the That’s the Tag set – birthday, thanks, wedding, thinking of you, new baby and more….And the dies in the Timeless Tags Thinlits are great!  I love how this one looks using paper piecing!  Hope you like!
