Stampin’ Up! Basket Bunch Bundle Thanks

Happy Hawmp Day, y’all!  The week is almost half over!  And Super Bowl is this Sunday!

Why did I use an exclamation point?  I only half care about the Super Bowl – I guess I’m obligated by virtue of my current home address to care about the fact that Atlanta is playing, and to cheer for them to win.  But…I also kind of think it would be cool for Tom Brady to get his 5th ring.  So…I’ll probably swing all sorts of ways on Sunday.  I really just hope the commercials are good! 🙂

So.  I have official proof that Finn-chewie is a goofus.

This is a gumball.  They fall out of …gum trees.  When the horses manage to pick them up in their manes or tails, it takes me 30 minutes to get them out.

Mostly cuz I’m trying not to poke the stink out of my fingers.  Cuz…they hurt!

Finn was chewing on one of these today.  This exact one, in fact.  With great relish!

Uhm….owwwww!!  But he didn’t seem at all concerned.  Well, he was a little perplexed about why I told him to drop it – but that was about it!

Also – he discovered the joys of the back pond this morning…

I wish I could have gotten a video of his crazed racing around and thru the water.  He was having a grand old time!!  🙂

So – my card for today uses a cute little bundle in the Occasions catalog called the Basket Bunch.  I paired it up with a little Blooms & Bliss DSP.  Take a look-see:

I started with a piece of the pretty Blooms & Bliss DSP and SNAILd it to a Calypso Coral mat.  Over that, I adhered two new Lace Doilies that I’d sponged with Island Indigo.

I cut a circle of Whisper White with a large Circles Layering Framelits and SNAILd it to a Calypso Coral mat – also cut with a Circles Layering Framelit.  And then I decorated the circle with some flowers and grass and a basket made with the Basket Bunch stamp set and the coordinating Basket Builder Framelits.  I cut a Mint Macaron “lawn” and SNAILd it to the Whisper White circle.  Then I stamped Pear Pizzazz stems and leaves and cut them with their matching dies in Basket Builder.  Finally, I stamped a Daffodil Delight daffodil and two little flowers – one in Island Indigo and one in Calypso Coral – and cut them with their matching dies.

Folks – this die set has 22 dies in it – there’s not going to be much call for fussy cutting with this baby! 🙂

I colored the leaves with my Old Olive Watercolor Pencil and a Blender Pen. The flowers used the Daffodil Delight, Bermuda Bay and Pumpkin Pie pencils.

The basket is really kind of fun – I cut a solid basket shape from Early Espresso as the base.  Then I used the die that cuts a “basket weave” image and cut it out from another piece of Blooms & Bliss DSP.  Then I popped that die cut over the Early Espresso die cut with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the stems and leaves behind the basket and then to the circle.  Then I popped my flowers on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I decided there needed to be a little extra sumpin’ – so I stamped a little Basket Bunch bunny in Blushing Bride, lightly shaded him with the Melon Mambo Watercolor Pencil and Blender Pen, cut him with his die, and slid him into the basket.

The sentiment is also from the Basket Bunch set, stamped in Calypso Coral on a Whisper White strip – and I cut banner ends with my Paper Snips, then adhered it to the basket with Liquid Glue.

I doubled a length of Mint Macaron 3/8″ Sheer Linen Ribbon, securing it with a mini staple and adhered it with Liquid Glue to the card front.  Over the staple I adhered a little bow made from a piece of Blushing Bride Solid Baker’s Twine with a little dab of Liquid Glue.

I popped the decorated circle over the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals, and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped some Mint Macaron grass from the Basket Bunch set across the bottom of a Whisper White panel.  Then I added some Pear Pizzazz stems and leaves, and Daffodil Delight daffodils.  I made a little sticky note mask to cover the middle flower – that way I could stamp the flower on the right and send it to the “back”!  I once again used my Watercolor Pencils in Old Olive and Daffodil Delight with a Blender Pen to shade the flowers and leaves.

I SNAILd the panel to a Calypso Coral mat and into my Island Indigo card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

On the front of my Whisper White Medium Envelope, I added another couple of daffodils and grass…

…and then added more Blooms & Bliss DSP to the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  There are so many images and sentiments in the Basket Bunch stamp set, almost all with matching dies in the Basket Builder – that you could make about a zillion cards and not repeat yourself!  Hope you like!
