Stampin’ Up! The Most Wonderful Time of the Year for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop

HappyStampersBlogPostBanner-2
Mornin’, y’all –  welcome to another edition of the Happy Stampers Blog Hop.  This is color week, with a great Christmas-y color combination.    We’re down a hopper this week – Kristi Gray is away on vacation with her family!  But the rest of us pulled on our creative thinking caps to make y’all some great projects, so be sure to check out all our offerings!

Here’s the color combination we’re all working with:

I called on the Global Design Project challenge this week to help me out with the design of my card!

I used the wonderful stamp set called Wonderful Year, and some Warmth & Cheer DSP Stack paper.  Take a look-see:

You can tell just by looking at my card that it was super quick and easy to put together, so hang on – this is gonna go quick!

I started with a piece of the Warmth & Cheer DSP Stack paper – I just love this paper!  I ran it thru my Big Shot in the Cable Knit Dynamic TIEF.  It’s hard to see in the pictures, and not a lot of it is visible, but it adds just a smidge of texture that you’re very aware of when you hold the card!

I SNAILd the embossed panel to a Garden Green mat.  The next layer is another – Garden Green – design from Warmth & Cheer, matted on Garden Green and SNAILd to the card front.

Next up is the sentiment panel.  I used the Wonderful Year stamp and colored it with my Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green Stampin’ Write Markers.  Using my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig, I stamped the image onto a Whisper White panel, SNAILd it to a Garden Green mat and popped it over the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals

For a little finishing touch, I tied a bow from Garden Green and Cherry Cobbler Baker’s Twines.  Using a Glue Dot, I first attached a Christmas Trinket Embellishment and then, with a second Glue Dot, added the bow.  And that was it for the card front! 🙂

On the inside, I used my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig again and stamped a second Wonderful Year sentiment in Cherry Cobbler on a piece of Whisper White card stock.  Then I added a few little images in Garden Green across the bottom.  I finished it off with some Garden Green Enamel Shapes.

I SNAILd the panel to a Garden Green mat and then into a Whisper White card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals, and the card was done!

For my Whisper White Medium Envelope, I added more Wonderful Year images across the front in Garden Green…

…and added a little more of the Warmth & Cheer DSP to the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Easy peasy, nice and breezy.  The Wonderful Year images are big and bold and they “carry” a card all on their own – making them ideal for making quick work of Christmas card making!  Sheesh – I used “making” three times in that sentence – sorry! 🙂  Regardless – hope you like and will consider…making!…one for yourself! 🙂
