Stampin’ Up! Sneak Peek – Tin of Tags Joy to the World!

Good morning, y’all – it’s Sunday and I thought you might be in the mood for a Super Simple Single Stamp Set Sunday.  Whatcha think?  I think a single-stamp-set card would be welcome – especially if it’s a quick little note card that you can use thru the upcoming holiday season.

I used the new Tin of Tags stamp set – which coordinates with the Tin of Tags Project Kit.  When you buy them together – you get the goodies you see below and can make all the gift tags you see in the right-hand picture!

But, even when the Project Kit is all used up, you’ve still got the fun Tin of Tags stamp set itself.  I used that today and added some new Candy Cane Lane DSP and Designer Washi Tape to make a seasonal note card.  Take a look-see:

Tin of Tags Joy 4 - Stamps-N-Lingers
This one will go together in a lickety and a split – which means you could make bunches of them, maybe use different sentiments on the front (all in the same Tin of Tags set!) – and have you a whole stash of handy note cards!

This layout may look familiar – it’s also from the Freshly Made Sketches challenge #251 – I used it the other day for my Star of Light card (see that one here if you haven’t!)

FMS 251 Sketch
I started this little card with a Whisper White Note Card and Envelope (they come in a handy set of 20 cards and envelopes!).  It’s pretty hard to see in the photos (it’ll help if you squint, stick your tongue out just a tad, and bite the right side of your lower lip.  Don’t bite the left side – that never works!), but the first thing I did was stamp the snowflake image from Tin of Tags randomly across the front of the card with Versamark Ink.  It gives a sort of….damask…feel to the front of the card, adding some texture without thickness or color.

Tin of Tags Joy 3 - Stamps-N-Lingers
The vertical element is from two designs of Candy Cane Lane Designer Washi Tape – three strips in total.  I laid them across the card front, and trimmed the ends with my snips.

I SNAILd a square of Candy Cane Lane DSP to a Real Red mat and SNAILd it over the Washi tape.

Finally, I stamped the Tin of Tags sentiment in Crumb Cake ink of a piece of Whisper White card stock and cut it with an Ovals Layering Framelit die.  It’s matted on a second Real Red oval, cut with the next largest – scalloped – die in the ovals framelits.  I SNAILd the matted sentiment over the middle panel and the card front was done!
Tin of Tags Joy 2 - Stamps-N-Lingers
As promised, the inside is blank – but I stamped some more Tin of Tags snowflakes in Versamark and added a strip of the Washi Tape.

Tin of Tags Joy 5 - Stamps-N-Lingers
To finish everything off, I added Versamark snowflakes to the front and back of the matching Envelope, and added some more Washi Tape to the front…

Tin of Tags Joy 6 - Stamps-N-Lingers
…and left the back with just the tone-on-tone Versamark snowflakes on the flap…

Tin of Tags Joy 7 - Stamps-N-Lingers
Et Voila!  If you didn’t get the squinting/tongue/lip biting just right, you’ll have to take my word that the Tin of Tags snowflake is visible in real life!  But, I think this is a cute card that could be repeated quickly and easily – and be a really useful addition to your card stockpile!  And the Tin of Tags is definitely a good thing to have in your tool box – I hope you’ll be getting it (and the Tin of Tags Project Kit!) in….FOUR days!! 🙂
