Stampin’ Up! Sunshine Wishes My Always Love

Good morning – it’s Sunday and if you’re coming over from Amy’s blog…thanks so much for stopping by.  I surely do hope you’ll become a regular! 🙂

Since it’s Sunday, and everyone has things to do today, I know – I’ll cut right to the chase and get straight to the card share for today!  I used the fun Sunshine Sayings bundle for this one – which includes the Sunshine Sayings stamp set and the coordinating Sunshine Wishes Thinlits.  And that was all that was needed to make…this.  Take a look-see:

Sunshine Wishes Love 1 - Stamps-N-Lingers
This one is quick and easy to make, just like yesterday’s card.  I made it to play along with two challenges – the first is a sketch challenge from Freshly Made Sketches.  Challenge #242:

FMS 242 Sketch
And the second challenge gave me my color scheme.  FabFriday #90:

FabFri90 Sketch
So – to begin, I made a designer paper panel for the card front.  I’d gotten the idea for this colorful background from Brian King’s card that he shared a couple days back – for this very color challenge!  You can check it out here, if you like.  Thanks, Brian, for the inspiration! 🙂

Using the sketchy flower image in Sunshine Wishes, I stamped two very precisely measured ( 😉 ) rows in each of the blues of the FabFriday challenge.  At the top is Tempting Turquoise, then Pacific Point and finally Night of Navy.  Which made for a very busy background, indeed.  To counter that, I matted a panel of Whisper White on Pacific Point and SNAILd it over the top.  And that made it all juuuuuust right!

Sunshine Wishes Love 2 - Stamps-N-Lingers
I used Real Red card stock to cut two of the scribbly hearts with the Sunshine Wishes Thinlit die.  One of them, I used some little dots of Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue and stuck it down on a separate piece of Whisper White card stock.  Then I fussy cut around the outside edge.  The second heart, I used the Liquid Glue to attach it right to the card front.

The center strip is another piece of Whisper White, on which I stamped the same sketchy Sunshine Sayings flowers, in Pacific Point.  Then I matted it on Pacific Point card stock and adhered it across the card, covering just the tip of my first heart.

Sunshine Wishes Love 3 - Stamps-N-Lingers
Then I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere my Whisper White-filled second heart at a jaunty angle over the whole shootin’ match!

All that I needed now was a sentiment – so I used two sentiment phrases/words from Sunshine Sayings.  I used my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig to align to the two sentiments, which I stamped in Night of Navy ink.  The final “word” comes in the form of a Real Red Enamel Shape from the fun new Brights Enamel Shapes package.

I added three more Enamel Shapes – one in each of the Blues – to the card, and that was it for the card front.  To be honest, I hadn’t planned on those last three additions, but….you know….smudge! 😉  And I think they worked out just fine!

Sunshine Wishes Love 4 - Stamps-N-Lingers
On the inside, I took a third Real Red Sunshine Wishes Thinlit die cut and adhered it to the bottom of a Whisper White panel and trimmed off the excess.  Then I SNAILd the panel to a Pacific Point mat.

Sunshine Wishes Love 5 - Stamps-N-Lingers
I SNAILd the inner liner into my Real Red card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals, and the card was done! 🙂

Sunshine Wishes Love 1 - Stamps-N-Lingers
I gave the front of my Whisper White Medium Envelope three more sketchy Sunshine Sayings flowers – one each in Night of Navy, Pacific Point and Tempting Turquoise…

Sunshine Wishes Love 6 - Stamps-N-Lingers
…and gave a similar treatment to the flap.  I opened the flap up and then covered the envelope itself (to protect it!) with a piece of thin scrap paper (envelope paper works great for this, OBTW!) and stamped three rows of the flowers in the colors of the sketch.

Sunshine Wishes Love 7 - Stamps-N-Lingers
Et Voila!  I think this is a fun card – with a color scheme that really works.  And I think the sentiment leaves this card useful for….an everyday card to someone you love…an anniversary card….a “hey – you know, it’s Wednesday and I love you” card…or even a birthday card for that special someone in your life.  Add a stamped sentiment on the inside…or don’t!  Versatile card to have ready to go.  And all brought to you by the wonderful fun Sunshine Sayings stamp set and the bundle-able Sunshine Wishes Thinlits!  Hope you like!
