Hey, y’all – it’s Tuesday.  Today’s post is a little bit different from the normal “updates” – the ladies in Amy’s Inkin’ Krew (that’s the name of Amy Koender’s downline demonstrators!) are doing a Blog Hop!  It’s our first one and we’re excited!  For this inaugural Hop, we’re each bringing a project that celebrates one of our favorite Retiring Products!  I hope that you’ll hop thru everyone’s offerings when you’re done here! 🙂

As I put together my look-back post from Saturday – I realized that For All Things is one stamp set (among many!) that I’m really going to miss!  It’s just so pretty and gives us so many options for Fall-themed cards.  But – it works at other times of the year as well.  So, I teamed it up with a few other things I’m really really going to miss….Corrugated Paper, Venetian Crochet Trim, the Itty Bitty Accent Punch Pack and the Greetings Thinlits.  And one should never – ever! – forget about the Envelope Liner Framelits!  Take a look-see:

My design for the layout of the card was inspired by the CAS(E) This Sketch challenge #170:

CTS #170 Sketch
I began the layers for this card using a piece of the Kraft Corrugated Paper (retiring).  I created the angles for the Botanical Gardens DSP (retiring) by dry fitting and marking faint lines with a pencil – then cutting it with my Paper Trimmer.  I SNAILd them to the Corrugated Paper and then SNAILd the whole thing to a So Saffron card stock mat.

Using some little dabs of Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue, I adhered the Venetian Crochet Trim (retiring) to the card front to create the crossed lines in the sketch.  I wrapped the ends around to the back and secured them with scotch tape.  Then I finished matting the card front, SNAILing the whole thing to a Cajun Craze card stock mat.

For the sentiment, I pulled out a stamp image from For All Things (retiring).  I stuck a piece of Sticky Note tape across the word “Thanks” and stamped the rest of the words in Cajun Craze ink onto a piece of So Saffron card stock.  Then I cut it with the label die in the Chalk Talk Framelits (retiring).  I stamped a few of the wheat sheaf image (also in For All Things) in Old Olive by the sentiment.

To make its mat, I laid the die on a piece of Cajun Craze card stock, traced the outside edge lightly with a pencil and then cut it out.  I SNAILd the So Saffron label to it and then popped it on the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The sentiment, from the Greetings Thinlits (retiring), is cut from a piece of Gold Foil, and then I also cut two Cajun Craze versions – which I then adhered into a “thanks” stack with some Liquid Glue.  Finally, I used more of the Liquid Glue to stick it to my sentiment label! 🙂

The flowers are cut with the small flower die in the Botancial Builder Framelits – two from So Saffron and one from Cajun Craze.  I folded/creased their petals and then added a tiny flower from a piece of the Botanical Gardens DSP.  Those are cut with the little flower punch in the Itty Bitty Accent Punch Pack (retiring – waaaaaaaaaaa!).  I adhered them to their larger brethren with Liquid Glue and added a Pearl Basic Jewel to each one.  The two So Saffron flowers are stuck on with Liquid Glue and the Cajun Craze is popped on with a little bit of Stampin’ Dimensional – and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped the For All Things wheat sheaf image in Old Olive in the center of a Whisper White panel (the image was stamped off once on scrap paper).  Over that, I stamped a second sentiment from the stamp set in Cajun Craze.  I SNAILd the panel to a So Saffron mat, and then added a strip of Botanical Gardens DSP, also matted on So Saffron.  Then I SNAILd it all to a Cajun Craze mat and then into my Mossy Meadow (retiring) card base.

I SNAILd the card front on (already have plenty of “heft” to the card!), and the card was complete.

The Whisper White Medium Envelope simply got an Old Olive wheat sheaf from For All Things…

…and added a liner from Botanical Gardens DPS, cut with my Envelope Liner Framelits (retiring – WAAAAAAAA)!
