Good Wednesday morning! Today’s card is very quick and easy. And super clean. And also simple. Any other descriptors? I saw someone (actually several someone’s!) out on Pinterest had used this little Love Blossom Embellishment Kit wooden panel on a couple of cards. So, when The Paper Players challenge #278 came up for a clean and simple Valentine card….
….I thought I’d give it a go. Take a look-see:
The focal point of the card is from the Love Blossoms Embellishment Kit in the Occasions Catalog. I punched out the little hearts (and stuck them back in the package for another project). Then I used my sponge to color the wooden panel with Blushing Bride ink. I also just turned it face down on the ink pad and pressed the ink into the wood!
With the panel softly blushing, I used Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue to adhere a piece of Subtles Backgrounds DSP – in Blushing Bride – to the back – with the flowers showing thru the hearts!
Then, using SNAIL, I double matted the panel – first with Blushing Bride card stock and then with Basic Black. And then I SNAILd the whole thing to a Whisper White card front.
The sentiment comes from the Greatest Greetings stamp set (new to the Occasions Catalog). This set uses the most beautiful font – and all the sentiments (15 in all!) are wonderful. I just wanted the one word, so I inked it with my Basic Black Stampin’ Write marker and used my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig to get it centered under the panel
I matted the card front with Blushing Bride card stock – and then brushed my Clear Wink Of Stella all over the wooden panel face.
On the inside, I pulled a sentiment from the Bloomin’ Love stamp set. Once again, I only wanted part of the sentiment, so I used my Basic Black Stampin’ Write marker to ink just what I needed.
This is a photopolymer stamp, so I didn’t even need my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig to get it lined up!
I matted it with Blushing Bride card stock and SNAILd it into my Basic Black card base. Popping the front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals was the final step in the card.
For the envelope, I stamped several heart outline images from Bloomin’ Love in Blushing Bride on the front of my Whisper White Medium Envelope….
..and gave it a Blushing Bride Subtles Backgrounds DSP liner with my Envelope Liner Framelits.
Et voila! A very clean and very simple card – good for Valentine’s day or any old day at all! Hope that you like it – and that you’ll remember to use all the parts of the embellishment kits! 🙂
